Back wagging his tail and barking happily again, this is the dog that was incredibly saved by 'mouth-to-snout' after he became trapped in a burning house.

Firefighters in Wisconsin went beyond the call of duty to give the kiss of life to Labrador Coda, after rescuing the dog from the burning house.. . .

All ends well in this rescue, as Mocha and Lavender [family cats]were found in the basement unharmed, presumably scampering down there to avoid danger.

Beats the hell out of mouth to snout of a lot of “alleged human beings” out there. I would have to think long and hard about whether to help a politician or film the event.

Did you know that when you kiss a cat on the nose, it will almost always lick its lips?

I know it’s a little weird, but . . .

I do this even though there’s nothing wrong with the dog.

No mention of the hero firefighter's name?

Think he made the right call; dog-kissing hero to remain anonymous.

My dog’s nose makes a funny noise when I blow into it.

I have a 4 year old yellow male lab named Cody who was a rescue puppy. They are the sweetest dog a family can have.

O.K...is this like when I was a kid and my brother would tell me to pick up that copperhead and it would turn into chocolate, lol?

It is a cool story about the Lab...firemen rock.

Yes it is true. And you don’t have to kiss the nose, just touch it. I use that trick to get those stubborn pill spitting cats to take their medication. Pill in, close mouth, touch nose and pretty routinely the pill goes down on the first lick!

Interesting he had only seen it on TV?

The Red Cross has classes for both dog and cat CPR.

O.K...I stand corrected. And I will keep this info for future use.

I am by nature a dog person. But had a feral kitty adopt me a couple of years ago. Kissing or touching her nose just made my heart stop in unadulterated fear, lol.

Dogs are so easy...just tell them that this pill is yummy. They respond...”One of my favorite things.”

I guess you’d have to blow into the dog’s snout sideways so the air doesn’t escape since their nose isn’t completely attached on the sides. Kinda gross actually. Course I’d rather do that than give Al Gore mouth-to-mouth.
