LOL, I saw that years ago and its still funny as hell.Sick minds think alike.
This is a true story. I had some buddies who were working at the Embassy in Teheran the first time it was invaded in Feb 1979. Just before the previous Christmas, the families of our guys were evacuated. A lot of them came through Rome, where I helped move them back to CONUS. The chief of the unit adopted a “jube” dog (”jube” = benjo = open sewer). He said that he dressed “Farql” in a negligee after his wife left. After a harrowing trip through numerous roadblocks, my two pals (to this very day) finally got to Mehrabad Airport. Bob had Farql in a pet cage and when they got to the PanAm desk, the agent there said it was going to cost $750 to fly the hound back to BWI via Rome. Bob asked the agent if he’d take a check. The agent said they would. The boys got on the bird for Rome; as they exited Iranian airspace, PanAm gave out free champagne. We were waiting for them in Rome with a cooler full of beer and then brought them back to my apartment. The first thing Bob did was use my phone to call his bank in the Washington area and stopped payment on the check. The other guy is coming down to my home here on Tuesday and on Friday we’re heading for the Gulf Coast of Florida for a reunion of a lot of other Teheran veterans. He’s still my main man.
They’ll never find him. Somebody took that stunner home with him.
Quick thinking on your friends part.I hope you guys enjoy your reunion and have a blast.
Sounds about right.
Like anyone needs a reason to boycott American Airlines. Just waiting for them to go bankrupt so I can celebrate
Roger WILCO. That’s the game plan.
