We started disassembling these in the 1980s. So it’s Reagan’s fault.

Seriously? This is in breaking? Giant iron-bomb nukes are pretty useless. I doubt a BUFF would make it close enough to a real target to drop it.

The BUFF might not make it, but the B-2 would.

I'd dearly love to sit in on the disassembly. Nuke design has always been a fascination to me.

Weird, I know, but there it is. Suppose it comes from remembering the First H-Bomb headlines when I was a kid. And I just love to see how things work by taking them apart.

I am PRETTY SURE we had at least one deployed 24 megaton bomb flown about in B-52’s, and maybe B-58’s. See below.
