The State Department has spent $70,000 in taxpayer money to buy copies of Barack Obamas book Dreams from My Father. One embassy in Indonesia spent more than $3,800 buying copies of Obamas other book The Audacity of Hope. Again, all with taxpayer money all while Obama profits from the purchases.
But hey, it most be common place to buy books written by presidents to hand out as gifts and put in libraries, right? Nope. A search by the Washington Times of the federal database found no examples of the State Department purchasing books by President Clinton or President Bush. And most copies of Obamas books were purchased in the months following his inauguration.

It’s good to be the despot.
A soon to be unemployed despot.
Does Bill Ayers get the Royalties for his books?
Couldn’t they have taken the book out of the library and passes it around? Save some trees and tax payer dough.
See what happens with “stimulus funds”!
How much of this kicked back to Obama in royalties?
You know, Hitler bought several copies of his book with government funds and gave them to socialists. At least Hitler actually wrote Mein Kampf.
Waiting on Wretched Carlson to ruin my “career”.......
LOL
Somebody has to “buy” that crap and only a moron would spend THEIR OWN MONEY on it.
Barry just spends and spends.
Of course he does. It't not his money.

Dumba$$e$ could have purchased them from Sam’s Club for about $2.00 each if they would have shopped around. Hillary’s and Bill’s books, which were stacked in the back on pallets for $2.00 each were eventually hauled off to the recycle point when they didn’t sell for $2.00. I think the only ones that bought them were the ones like libraries, PolSci courses, etc. that had no choice.
It’s like Barry’s version of the Chinese Little Red Book. Now government officials are purchasing it in bulk and distributing it to the people. Just a matter of time before every motel will have a copy in the nightstand. Maybe Barry can make some more appearances on the new cable version of Oprah and her book club to instruct us that we must read it again and purchase more copies for our relatives.
I saw a Hildebeast book on the rack in the jury lounge when I was serving jury duty. I picked it up and wasn’t able to get through two pages before I realized someone might see me reading it. I then opened my laptop and logged on to read something far more reasonable — Free Republic.
Thanks for the ping Piasa.
Yes, my husband told me about that at dinner tonight.
Considering everything about the Obama administration, specifically and the Clintons’ in general; nothing should surprise us anymore.
