ACORN Playing Behind Scenes Role in "Occupy" Movement
Fox News ^ | Oct 26 2011 | Jana Winter

The former New York office for ACORN, the disbanded community activist group, is playing a key role in the self-proclaimed “leaderless” Occupy Wall Street movement, organizing “guerrilla” protest events and hiring door-to-door canvassers to collect money under the banner of various causes while spending it on protest-related activities, sources tell FoxNews.com.

The former director of New York ACORN, Jon Kest, and his top aides are now busy working at protest events for New York Communities for Change (NYCC). That organization was created in late 2009 when some ACORN offices disbanded and reorganized under new names after undercover video exposes prompted Congress to cut off federal funds.

NYCC’s connection to ACORN isn’t a tenuous one: It works from the former ACORN offices in Brooklyn, uses old ACORN office stationery, employs much of the old ACORN staff and, according to several sources, engages in some of the old organization’s controversial techniques to raise money, interest and awareness for the protests.

Sources said NYCC has hired about 100 former ACORN-affiliated staff members from other cities – paying some of them $100 a day - to attend and support Occupy Wall Street. Dozens of New York homeless people recruited from shelters are also being paid to support the protests, at the rate of $10 an hour, the sources said.

At least some of those hired are being used as door-to-door canvassers to collect money that’s used to support the protests.

[snip]

In one such case, sources said, NYCC staff members collected cash donations for what they were told was a United Federation of Teachers fundraising drive, but the money was diverted to the protests.

News Flash:

ACORN never disbanded, they just changed names and kept on working from a storefront down the street from the original location. Same people, same financial sources, same bullsugar, different day.

They can never disband. ACORN or whatever they call themselves now is the vote fraud wing of the Democrat party. Without them the Democrats/Communists would be at a 20% disadvantage in each and every election outside of certain highly specific locations.

The communists movement is better organized than what many of us thought. It is lead by King Obama and his corrupt Administration. Fueled the help of former organizations like ACORN and the major Unions it will take more than just prayer to solve.

Here in Michigan we elected a secretary of state who made a name for herself as a county commissioner by fighting ACORN and fake tea party fraud.

She’s carried it on to the SOS office. Our new attorney general was also a target of ACORN fraud.

Why not combine the OWS idiots AND the ever growing Obamaville tent city residents? What a crowd THAT would be!

Obama has helped create them BOTH.

Here is an excellent and articulate video on why they are protesting in Atlanta. I was doing "twinkles up" the whole time watching it, then had the urge to publicly tinkle.

The Working Families Program (WFP) application asks one to list work experience. Why? Apart from welfare recipient and street agitator, what work experience has the filth that the WFP manipulates?

“They have also saddled up with the Workers Party, a communist outfit.”

-that’s because they’re reds, too.

In 2008 I received a campaign promotion from the “Working Families Party*”, the party being affiliated with ACORN, in fact, here in NYC, illegally sharing office space with them. It had three photos across it- Pete Seeger, Cindy Shehan, and Michael Moore.

Tells you all you need to know.

*as opposed to the “No Good, Lazy, Welfare Rip-Off Family Party”, I suppose.
