That’ll leave a mark.
That’ll leave a mark.
How did those two get into the Republican Party? Isn’t there an entrance exam?
The last I heard, lobbyists were essentially free-lance PR people who will work for any client to present their program to regulators and congresscritters in as favorable light as possible.
Are these folks supposed to go out of the business or commit hari-kari if they lose a client? Or does the new client subscribe to the old client’s program or bias.
I’m not sure how we, as free people, got into the business of guilt by association.
A lobbying shop took a job without a comprehensive forensic accounting review of a client? What is the world coming to?
If I was a lobbyist and a prospective client came through the door for help on a straightforward matter, I think I’d discuss scope of work and fees, not do a third degree on “what are you hiding from me?” I might also be impressed if the client had hobnobbed with Presidents, Vice Presidents, and other officials, and especially if it had a guarantee from the DOE. I can’t see that Glover Park has done anything wrong.
