A seven-year-old boy who identifies as a girl has been allowed to join the Girl Scouts in the US, despite the group initially barring him for having "boy parts".
Bobby Montoya, from Denver in Colorado, dresses and behaves like a girl and wanted to join Girl Scouts like his older sister.
His mother, Felisha Archuleta, told Denver's 9NEWS how she took her son to register but was told he could not join.
"I said: 'Well, what's the big deal?' She said: 'It doesn't matter how he looks, he has boy parts, he can't be in Girl Scouts'," Ms Archuleta said.
The registering official reportedly continued: "Girl Scouts don't allow that [and] I don't want to be in trouble by parents or by my supervisors."
Bobby, who lists his favourite toys as Bratz and Strawberry Shortcake, said it was tough news to hear.
"It was like somebody told me I can't like girl stuff and I have to change my name to something else," he said.
But the Scouts recanted on their initial decision yesterday, releasing a statement saying they support transgender kids.
"Girl Scouts is an exclusive organisation and we accept all girls in Kindergarten through 12th grade as members," the statement read.

In my day we called them sissies.
I’m a Cub Scout leader (Webelos II) who has a boy who has ‘two mommies’. The last camping trip one of his ‘mommies’ tried to turn our campout into a gay rights speech. Let’s just say that I’m so proud of my other kids and parents, no ugly words were spoken, but the boy nor his “mommy” will ever attend a scout meeting at our Pack again. The sad part is I feel for the boy; he wants to ditch the lesbo bull mom so bad it isn’t funny. Really tragic.

It’s tougher for us sane and normal people to hear that an institution has to bow down to you minority sick freaks.

Heaven help us all. I don’t know what the world is coming to, but increasingly I feel like an alien in my own country.
You know, I truly consider myself to be a pretty accepting person. I believe we are all God’s children, and what consenting adults do in the bedroom is fundamentally their own business. There are many things I find to be personally repulsive, but I suppose as long as I don’t have to hear about them, then I needn’t concern myself with them as long as nobody is being hurt.
However, having said that, I can’t for the life of me comprehend why it is that “transgender issues” are the present hot button social issues of our time. Why is it that this tiny minority of the population (I have no statistics to back this up, but I’m sure they can’t comprise more than a small fraction of one percent) seem to be dominating news headlines in the last two years? You can’t turn around without hearing about some trannie being “oppressed” and every month it seems like there is some new study being done whose purpose is to convince us all that being afflicted with this tragic mental disorder is somehow normal, or a law being passed to protect their “rights” to inflict their bizarre lifestyle on the rest of us. (No doubt all the pedophiles, beastiality practitioners and necrophiliacs are just waiting for the day when they can take their place in the political spotlight and demand their own “rights.”)
There is no way you will ever convince me that a seven year old child is capable of deciding that they want to be other than how God made them, or that whatever gender atypical behaviors they exhibit are not the result of twisted and desperately misguided parenting. It almost seems like having a “transgendered child” is the new badge of honor among the enlightened Left. I hear that they even give these poor children hormones now to stop puberty so that they can have an easier time “transitioning” (whatever that means) to the other gender.
What’s next? Sex change operations for grade schoolers? Hormone therapy for transgendered toddlers? Where does the insanity end?
These poor children are sick. They need therapy, and guidance, and the love of Jesus Christ, not hormones and transgender camps, and most certainly, not the approval and participation of their parents in their affliction.
This poor child needs help, and his parents need to have their heads examined if they think that putting him in the Girl Scouts will solve his problems.
The boy should be in a institution and his parents executed.
Bobby is not transgendered.

He is also an entitled little brat with a pushy ignorant Mom who caused some weak wimpo GS Council to cave.
This will end badly if not reveresed by adult women with common sense.
BTW, girls don’t join GS to play with dolls. They join GS pretty much for the same reason as lttle boys join Cub Scouts- to do “boy” things like camp, hike, and use knives and build fire.

I was thinking the same thing. My school years encompassed the '30's and '40's and I don't remember any guys dressed in women's clothes appearing at the schools.
In fact, when Pearl Harbor occurred, several fellows at our high school skipped their senior year and enlisted in the Army, Navy or AAF.
And of those who stayed to graduate, not one of the males to my knowledge tried to enlist as a WAC or WAVE.
SOMEONE NEEDS TO CREATE “HOMO SCOUTS” SO THESE LITTLE WEIRDOS HAVE A PLACE TO FIT IN.
