PHILADELPHIA – A pair of abortion clinic workers pleaded guilty Thursday to third-degree murder in two deaths at a Philadelphia clinic where seven babies were allegedly killed with scissors and a woman died from a drug overdose.
Andrea Moton admitted her involvement in the death of one baby. Sherry West pleaded guilty in the February 2009 death of Karnamaya Mongar, a Bhutanese immigrant. Neither women had formal training to work at the clinic in Philadelphia run by Dr. Kermit Gosnell.
Gosnell and nine employees, including his wife, were charged earlier this year after a gory grand jury report detailed the conditions at the West Philadelphia clinic where Gosnell allegedly performed illegal late-term abortions and babies born alive were killed by having scissors stabbed into their necks to sever their spinal cords.
Gosnell has denied the allegations.
Philadelphia District Attorney Seth Williams called the clinic a "house of horrors" in announcing the charges in January.
Moton, who knew Gosnell through his niece, worked evenings to assist with abortions, but, like the others, had no relevant training or license. She assisted with procedures and cut the spinal cords of aborted babies.
Moton and West each pleaded guilty to related charges, including taking part in a corrupt organization.
West, 52, of Newark, Del., was charged with third-degree murder, drug delivery causing death, illegally performing an abortion after 24 weeks, conspiracy, participating in a corrupt organization, evidence tampering and other charges. She has been in custody since her January arrest on $2 million bail.

Gosnell routinely induced labor in patients in their second and third trimesters rather than perform risky late-term abortions. That sometimes resulted in live births. He and his staffers killed the babies by stabbing their necks with scissors to sever their spinal cords and sometimes suctioning their skulls, too. About a baby writhing as he cut its neck, Gosnell joked to a staffer: “That’s what you call a chicken with its head cut off.”

I do not understand how anyone could do this.
There is absolutely NO reason to perform an abortion after the 24th week. NONE.
These babies can be saved. The procedures to remove a dead baby and a life one from a woman’s body are the same. (Induction or c-section) There is NO reason not to try to save these kids. NONE!
And a third trimester abortion is pure murder at this point. Babies born at this stage have very good odds.

Seven more defendants face charges in the case, including Gosnell, who a grand jury in January said, "killed babies and endangered women. What we mean is that he regularly and illegally delivered live, viable babies in the third trimester of pregnancy -- and then murdered these newborns by severing their spinal cords with scissors."
The grand jury said that a clinic co-worker of Moton's testified that a woman gave birth to a large baby at the clinic, delivering the child into a toilet. The jurors identified the newborn as "Baby D."
The jurors said the co-worker told them that the baby was moving and looked like it was swimming.
"Moton reached into the toilet, got the baby out and cut its neck," the grand jury said in its report.
This is nothing short of demonic. The worst part is that if the same babies had been killed inches away in the wombs of their mothers, it would have been legal!
The pro-aborts like to argue the majority of abortions occur before viability. Explain these, proaborts.
The workers weren't even qualified to be working in a medical profession; it pains me to even refer to abortion as that because it's murder. That's why that woman died. One of the workers even had hepatitis. What's all this crap we hear about "safe, legal, and rare"?

Illinois law already provided that physicians must protect the life of a fetus when there is "a reasonable likelihood of sustained survival of the fetus outside the womb, with or without artificial support." (http://factcheck.org/2008/08/obama-and-infanticide/)
Obama and his liberal cronies and fellow lawmakers are directly responsible for the atrocities in Philly and other places. We have a rabid anti-life President and Senate and we MUST do everything in our power to vote OUT every politician that refuses to recognize the inalienable right to LIFE of ALL citizens pre and post born.
