FORT HOOD, Texas (AP) -- Because he's a Muslim and accused of having ties to a terrorist, the man charged in the deadly Fort Hood shooting rampage needs a jury consultant before he goes on trial for his life, his defense attorneys told a military judge Thursday.
Maj. Nidal Hasan's attorneys also told the judge that he needs another expert to analyze the extensive pretrial publicity about the case and determine how that might influence potential jurors.

How about a Court Martial?
I’m wondering if the military enlisted men and low ranking officers accused of killing some Iraqis were given the same kind of thoughtful trial as this traitor/muslim is being given? Of course the military enlisted and low ranking officers are Christians. That may make a difference.
Oohh, Pick ME!!!!
Pleeese!
And this response for a jihadi slave of Allah is another dam good reason to just slay them wherever you find them. No doubt Nidal hasan-and his attorney are just peeved that he wasn’t dispatched to those 72 virgins /or white grapes -or whatever pig dung it is they tell their bloody slaves of Allah. What a terrible WASTE of taxpayer funding They shoulda just pushed him off base in his wheelchair and said to him Repent or die in your sins murderer.
He should retain OJ’s jury consultant who apparently has an uncanny ability to screen out people with a brain.
As a young sailor, I was a witness at a Captain’s Mast. One of my fellow sailors told his LPO to F*** off and die.
So the Captain asks me, “Exactly what did Petty Officer Schmuck (not his real name) say?” Something in my head told me, “You can’t say f*** to the Captain.” So I was hemming and hawing around the answer and the Captain leaned over the lectern and said, “Petty Officer B***, did he say f*** off and die or not?”
“Yes sir!!! that’s exactly what he said, sir!!!”
Later when he approached me I told the Captain that I was raised to have respect for my elders and just couldn’t utter that word to his face.
“I was raised to have respect for my elders and just couldnt utter that word to his face.”
And your Commanding Officer was maybe forty and did not feel the least bit elderly. LOL
As a young enlisted man I felt the same way, that the CO was old. Now from early middle age (63) all navy Commanding Officers are youngsters and I’m not sure the Navy should let someone so young have so much responsibility. LOL
Lead defense attorny, Lt. Col. Poppe also said he would decide later whether to challenge Gross as the judge in the case. Gross answered some of Poppe’s follow-up questions in court Thursday after filling out a questionnaire prepared by the defense team.
Holy She-it!
