Egyptian security forces recently foiled an Israeli attempt to assassinate former President Hosni Mubarak and other senior Egyptian officials, the Egyptian weekly Rose al-Yūsuf reported on Thursday.
According to the report, the attempt was foiled after the members of the group were arrested. The group numbered four people, including one Egyptian citizen and three Israelis, the report said.
A senior Egyptian security official told Rose al-Yūsuf that the assassination was supposed to be carried out using a sniper, while Mubarak was hospitalized in Sharm el-Sheikh following his ouster earlier this year. The four were caught after one of the group members was arrested ten days ago while trying to smuggle arms into Egypt.
According to the report, the suspect who was caught, Mouaz Zahalka, said in his interrogation that he had received the weapons from a priest in Jerusalem who asked him to transfer to Egypt two crosses in which the arms were concealed. The report further claims that similar ammunition was found in the bodies of those killed in the riots between Coptic Christians and Egyptian security forces earlier this month, as well as in the bodies of people who were killed during the revolution against the Mubarak regime.

According to the report, the suspect who was caught, Mouaz Zahalka, said in his interrogation that he had received the weapons from a priest in Jerusalem who asked him to transfer to Egypt two crosses in which the arms were concealed. The report further claims that similar ammunition was found in the bodies of those killed in the riots between Coptic Christians and Egyptian security forces earlier this month, as well as in the bodies of people who were killed during the revolution against the Mubarak regime.IOW, a bunch of Koranimals from "Palestine" are caught doing what they always do, but in a place where they don't normally get caught doing it, and so they become "Israelis".
Does anyone really believe any of this? I don’t see a motive.
To silence him before he reveals the truth: The protocols of the elders of zion are trooo! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7XrRyqses5U
“Does anyone really believe any of this? I dont see a motive.”
I agree. It makes absolutely no since. I think it is Egyptian propaganda to stir up protests against the Jews not only in Egypt but through out he Arab world. Thank You Obama for helping carry out the “Arab Winter”. I believe things are only going to get worse.
Not winter, spring. What flowers blossom and how they smell is the difference.
I don’t get it. I’m trying to understand what motive might there be in killing Mubarak by Israeli assassins.
More lies from Obamaland.
Because I think their story is BS too.
ditto.
See 5.
As soon as I saw it said that they were planning to assassinate Mubarak, I smelled a very big rat. Then that business saying that the Copts were in the plot.
Typical Muslim lies. But why is Arutz Sheva giving this any credit whatever? Do they really want to help foment a war?
It’s a fact that they were arrested. It’s a fact that this is what the weekly is saying. A7 isn’t crediting anything, as far as I can see.
Propaganda/disinformation.
(sarcasm, but it could actually happen)
“According to the report, the suspect who was caught, Mouaz Zahalka, said in his interrogation that he had received the weapons from a priest in Jerusalem who asked him to transfer to Egypt two crosses in which the arms were concealed.”
What a crock! I doubt if ANY of them were Israelis. The named suspect who was caught was obviously a raghead! A priest (read rabbi) asked them to smuggle arms into the country in a couple of CROSSES? Yeah! And I’m going to smuggle Bibles into Mecca in a miniature sleigh with 8 tiny reindeer!
I am sitting here wondering what is the real truth here.
Why should they kill a deposed Mubarak?
Sounds like BS to me.
Sounds like the Egyptians have learned they can get lots of free stuff by rounding up random Israeli’s and holding them for trade.
Both Mubarak and Qaddafi, with a working relationship with us, kept what stability there was in the region and gave Israel a modicum of safety. All gone now.
There's no reason Israel would want Mubarak dead - and especially wouldn't risk such actions now that Mubarak is out of power and it's a race to see what kills him first - his illness or the barbarians.
This assassin story had ‘spin’ written all over it.
