Scott Olsen is the Marine Corps veteran critically injured at Occupy Oakland Tuesday night, during a confrontation between the protesters and the police. The latest news is good: his condition has been upgraded from critical to fair and he is apparently conscious and able to respond to doctors and family members. I sincerely wish him a full recovery, and I also hope that a proper investigation is conducted to determine whether police misconduct is responsible for his injuries.
But I ran across something this evening that may add a new dimension to this story. It has been widely reported that Olsen is a member of Iraq Veterans Against the War. But apparently his opposition to the U.S. military and the Marine Corps in which he served runs a little deeper.

For somebody with a fractured skull, he’s made a remarkable recovery. He seems to be doing press interviews, and on top of that, even the doctors wouldn’t say his prognosis was serious. This morning he was actually described as being in good condition, so I don’t think the real doctors want to cover for his ploy.
Odd that the lapdog media have not picked up on this interesting sidenote. NOT!
It also makes one wonder why a pasty-faced loser from Illinois was protesting in Oakland, California. Is that where his handlers had him billeted? Or couldn’t he raise enough loons to muster a protest in his hometown7?

When he entered that park he was just another protester on their side)....They want you to think: That’s just awful! How could the cops do that to a veteran?....These rat bastards in the leftist media are very clever!

I heard that last night on a radio talk show. That he was having issues with the Marines. I bet no one will be able to find “The hardcopy”.
Scalp wounds bleed like mad. Once when I was cleaning at an establishment where I volunteered, I banged my head on the metal tip of an inward-opening window. It hurt a lot when it happened, but then it stopped a few minutes later and I went on cleaning. Some visitors came into the place where I was working to ask a question and I saw them staring at me oddly. After they left, I went into the bathroom and discovered that I had evidently cut my scalp, because blood had run out from under my hair and one entire side of my face was covered with blood.
I guess the visitors were too scared to ask me what had happened and just thought they were lucky to get out with their lives!
But in any case, I didn’t have a concussion or anything except a cut about 1/2 long at the top of my head.
Is there documentation of that somewhere?
Has anyone verified or confirmed that this O-hole in fact served and is a veteran?
Furthermore, was he ever in Iraq, or was he merely serving DURING the/an Iraq war?

And before anyone jumps on me for not being sympathetic with someone who is wounded... I say, "Probably wouldn't have gotten wounded if he'd been at home or at work in Illinois instead of playing Obama Theatre Street Thug in Oakland."
I wondered if his presence at this protest wasn’t an indication that he had “turned”..
