Cain's Cigarette-Puffing Aide Has Checkered Past
Fox News ^ | Published October 28, 2011 | AP via FOX

He is the man with the mustache who takes a rebellious drag on a cigarette in the Herman Cain Internet ad gone viral.

"We've run a campaign like nobody's ever seen," he says before taking a puff. "But then America's never seen a candidate like Herman Cain."

Meet Mark Block, Cain's unorthodox campaign manager. Perhaps no one is more responsible for the Georgia businessman's meteoric rise in the presidential polls than Block, a Republican strategist and tea party leader who's left a trail of questionable campaign work behind him.

Block has been accused of voter suppression and was banned from running Wisconsin political campaigns for three years to settle accusations he coordinated a judge's re-election campaign with a special interest group.

Records show Block has faced foreclosure on his home, a tax warrant by the Internal Revenue Service and a lawsuit for an unpaid bill. He also acknowledges he was arrested twice for drunken driving.

Koch brother (lIBERTARIAN -LEANING)operatives, Brock and Cain.

Now I understand the nastiness of the Cainiacs. Not only voters suppression is acceptable but also suppression of Freedom of Speech.

AND DON'T SPEAK TO HIM UNLESS YOU ARE SPOKEN TOO.

Wow, how diligent of the Obama butt-licking AP. Now how about a diligent story on the OWS ‘Iraq war vet” who is the founder of ihatethemarinercorps.com?

Only a complete pinhead could come up with that kind of swing-and-miss (badly) attempt at a political attack. Koch brothers? That's liberal-talk to treat that as an attack. Voter suppression? That's what liberals call any attempt to only have actual eligible voters voting. And I'm sorry, but my boss has the right to tell me that I should keep my mouth shut at certain moments as long as I'm on the clock.

You really should go find the nearest OWS protest and pitch your tent, you would fit right in with what you think is wrong with Cain.

You can find things printed about anyone these days. Whether it is true or not is another subject.

Romney Campaign Touts Endorsement From Vote-Suppressing Rove Protege

Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney’s presidential campaign blasted out an e-mail to reporters yesterday touting his recent endorsement by freshman Rep. Tim Griffin (R-AR). Griffin, of course, rose to national prominence after President Bush appointed him to replace one of the seven United States Attorneys dismissed as part of the Bush Administration’s broader effort to politicize the Justice Department. Prior to accepting this questionable appointment, Griffin spearheaded a “voter caging” scheme that attempted to kick numerous African-American military servicemembers off the voter rolls in order to prevent them from voting for Democrats.

And some people consider any type of identification requirements to be “voter suppression”.

Texas: Governor Rick Perry (R) signed a photo ID bill into law last Friday. Under the new law, voters without acceptable photo ID will have to return with ID within six days in order to validate their provisional ballots. Because of Texas’ history of discrimination, the state is covered by section 5 of the federal Voting Rights Act, meaning the new law will have to be pre-cleared by the U.S. Department of Justice or approved by the U.S. District Court for the District of D.C. before it can be enacted.

Gingrich’s comments are latest in voter suppression trend

One of the ways the African-American vote was suppressed under Jim Crow was through a “poll test,” which required prospective voters to answer a series of questions before they cast their ballot. This tactic was deemed illegal by the Voting Rights Act of 1965 and later by the 26th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, but a certain Presidential candidate wants to bring poll tests back.

At a town hall meeting in Marshalltown, Iowa, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich told attendees:

GINGRICH: [Immigrants] need to pass a test of American history. And candidly, it wouldn’t be bad to have a test like that for young Americans before they start voting.

Arrested twice for drunk driving.

For democrats that immediately qualifies him as Presidential material and 40+ years of re-election as Senator. Oh wait, he'd have to drown a woman as well for that plus show up drunk in Congress.
