I made this comment in a PM earlier...Rangers might have a chance if a controversial call in the first inning results in Ron Washington getting tossed from the game.

You know, batters would literaly shake at the plate when facing Nolan. And when he pitched the game centered on him.

What a game that was last night!

Mixed loyalties here. Mr. RR and I both graduated from Mizzou and went to many Cardinal games. But, I’m a native born Texan. Feeling kinda torn.

And how about “God Bless America”? Best rendition I’ve heard in years.

You can be happy either way!

Last night’s game almost finished me off..LOL

That was such a beautiful God Bless America..They replayed it on Fox today and had the retired Petty Officer on, too.

Come on Ranger bats, knock it out the park. Shut up Carpenter and his girlfriend in right field, Berkman.

Hamilton, God told you to win tonight.

You got that right.

He's a shaky manager even for the American League.

When asked to manage in a National League game, forget it.

If the cards win, there will be riots in the streets.

If the cards lose, there will be rioting in the streets.

Trust me, I lived ten blocks from Busch stadium for 4 years.

If the Puma has another game like he did last night he's a lock for MVP. Right now he's at:

.435 BA
.514 OB
5 RBI
9 Runs Scored

in 6 games.

If you plan on watching this game tonight; keep in mind that this evening's broadcast will be rated 'R' for profane language...children should be kept out of the room whenever Cardinals pitcher Chris Carpenter is on the field.

Think of the children.

I’m not sure I can take another night of it.

It IS messing up my Friday night regular/new programs viewing.

Previous games started at about 14 million each night and increased as the night wore on.

Tonight's numbers may rise substantially. CBS is replacing 'new' programs with reruns due to Game 6.

At 90, he’s probably a bit slow on the basepaths.
Still a great hitter’s eye though....

Hello, ladyfriends.

Yes, the petty officer’s rendition of God Bless America was most beautiful.

I also thought the National Anthem at start, sung by “Joe,” was one of the best I have ever heard.

I had become apprehensive about either of these performances, due to some recent disasters in that department. LOL.

I have to answer your comment even if it was not addressed to me. I live in St. Louis, have been here all my life. You talk about riots in the street, win or not, but “trust” me, we are not that kind of town. Even Rangers fans have commented about the friendly atmosphere of this town.
You see families coming to enjoy the games, not rioters who are looking for their chance to cause chaos and distress.
There are iffy areas near the stadium but a strong police force and FBI (yes, even they are here) will keep things under control. The St. Louis Symphony Orchestra and the Fox Theater are located in “iffy” areas and never had an incident happen to their patrons. Peace.

I agree! Although I also believe it shows how incredibly difficult, if not impossible, baseball is to "master".

Ask Michael Jordan.
