You are correct. Now, if any of the others took all sides of an issue, it would be hurting them, as it would be recognized as a serious character flaw rather than a misstep or mistake.

Please understand that Cain is not making misstatements--he is deliberately telling one group one thing about his positions and when he is addressing others, he changes his positions.
