This is from AP so can't excerpt.

Rich environmentalists are continuing the sham, started in the Clinton administration, of using the Wild and Scenic Rivers Act to limit access to Yosemite National Park.

Already hundreds of campsites and tent platforms used by moderate income visitors have been eliminated in favor of high-priced hotel and motel accommodations.

But that's not good enough for the green-limousine set. They don't want to have to look at the hoi polloi floating down the Merced River in inner tubes when they look out of their $400 a night suite at the Ahwahnee Hotel. So they're going to use the Wild River Act to limit access to the river and to Yosemite Park.

Details at the link.

Thanks. I like Kings Canyon. But I like Yosemite better. I go there about ten times a year. I don’t go where there are lots of people. Sorry you’ve had a bad experience.

Oh come on now you know the answer to that...government subsided hotel room rentals so folks can go to the new casinos and vegas-style shows because you wouldn’t want people to actually interact with the great out doors by camping outside. I mean that would be like the derelicts camping out in the city parks and I’m sure you know who I mean - ows.

It would all be so funny if it weren’t so damn frightening and sad.

I’ve been there once!

Just like San Francisco, it is chock full of nuts.

Once was more than enough for me. They can have the thing!
