You’re mistaken about Texas being “on the highway to hell.” We’re just fine down here.
You’re also mistaken to conflate our Hispanics with illegal aliens. Most of our Hispanic population is just as legal as you are.
Our Hispanics are pro-life and pro-marriage for the most part. They believe in hard work and self-sufficiency, as well as personal responsibility. They are realizing that the Dems are not.
I have to agree. But I do see a certain amount of cultural deviseness.
But I also see, that as the generations evolve..there is a certain amount of “becoming American” and being more outraged at the unfairness of being illegal.
Even as I become dismayed at areas of the city becoming more culturally divided,I think about the ChinaTowns in many cities. The kids eventually move on.
And from what I have heard, the large Hispanic turnout defeated Prop 8 in Cal (even though the SC decided the law).
