Coulter rips Cain allegations: Liberals "are terrified of strong, conservative black men"
The Daily Caller ^ | 10/30/2011 | Jeff Poor

Politico dropped a bombshell story Sunday evening, charging that GOP presidential front-runner Herman Cain was accused of sexual harassment by two unnamed females in the late 1990s when he was CEO of the National Restaurant Association.

During an appearance on Fox News Channel’s “Geraldo at Large” just an hour later, Ann Coulter likened the allegations to those Clarence Thomas faced in the early 1990s during his Supreme Court confirmation process. “Liberals are terrified of Herman Cain,” she said. “He is a strong, conservative black man … They are terrified of strong, conservative black men.

Lets keep in mind that the 90's were a "hot" time for disgruntled women in corporate America to use every tool, including courts and allegations, to "get ahead".

I too first thoughts was to suspect Romney operatives, because Romney feels Herman’s hot breath on the back of his neck already, but after seeing the pure vitriol that Perry Supporters have demonstrated toward Herman and considering ruff and tumble LBJ politics of Texas I to would not rule out Perry operatives. In fact Cain would be wise not to get in an car that hasn’t been throughly inspected anytime he’s in Texas.

My first instinct is to suspect Romney operatives

That was precisely my reaction. This type of thing is their MO.

The Left must be scared if they feel the need to resort to this.

Yes, Texas is LBJ country and Perry is desperate as he sees his poll numbers sinking. Perry is certainly a suspect.

Quite frankly, I don’t think the liberals are behind this. I think it’s Rove and crew. Is there any “roof”? No. But, well, there is a concerted effort by the GOP establishment to take down anyone threatening Romney. The GOP elites are the most likely suspects.

The more I think about this story, I am asking the same question every homicide detective asks himself...who is the most to gain from the crime!

If Herman is knocked off, who gains most of his support? Bingo! It won’t be Romney right now, and the democRats would have waited until after the GOP convention to spring a story like this and after Cain was the actual nominee.

I knew that some smears like this would up against Cain. Every time, a viable alternative to Romney starts to rise, out come the smears.

When Bachmann starts to rise, scurrilous questions about her husband surface.

When Perry starts to rise, out comes the N-rock story (granted Perry was self-destructing around the same time, but the rock story was just a way to finish him off

Now Cain starts to rise, we hear about sexual harassment.
I suppose these unnamed women will soon go public. Mat Lauer will interview them. They will shed a few tears and talk about how Cain propositioned him while delivering pizza or something.

The left always slings the mud. Remember the Bush Jr. drunk driving incident that they waited to spring on the public until a couple of days before the election.

If Cain survives these allegations, I am sure they have some other kind of mud to toss at him.

Herman Cain was CEO of the association from late 1996 through 1999. He challenged Bill Clinton on HillaryCare. Is it possible that some bimbo thought she was doing Bill Clinton a favor?
