AMAZING MUST-WATCH VIDEO: Herman Cain Just Broke Into Song At The National Press Club
Business Insider ^ | 10/31/2011 | Grace Wyler and Zeke Miller

Herman Cain may be the only presidential candidate in history to actually benefit from a sex scandal.

Just hours after Politico broke a story about accusations of sexual harassment against Cain, the former Godfather's Pizza CEO killed it during a luncheon speech at the National Press Club. And then to top it all off, he SANG.

After very little prompting to reprise his "Imagine There's No Pizza" performance at the Omaha Press Club, Cain launched into a surprisingly beautiful rendition of the Christian hymn "He Looked Beyond My Faults" — an interesting choice given the sex scandal.

A perfect segway for him to attack Barrys’ muslim faith. I see a man who will win through honesty and collect support by just telling the truth. He wants America back, and so do I.

Just heard on the news tonight - Cain’s staff reporting they received double what their normal daily donations would be.

I truly believe God’s hand is on this man. He is like Daniel in the lion’s den.

Sorry, the words weren’t any words I’ve sung to Amazing Grace and the tune was definitely Irish Tune From County Derry (Danny Boy).

I know the MSM is the DNC's Propaganda wing -- but they still never cease to amaze regarding the depths that they'll descend to sully the reputation of anyone who is a conservative or Christian.

Herman Cain is worse than a mere conservative Christian. He is a black man who dared to step off the plantation. To the left, there is no worse crime he could have committed.

It almost brought tears to my eyes.

Is this guy for real? I suspect the answer is “yes” and the American people will see through the media filter to discover it for themselves.

Whats wrong with the Danny Boy music ???

When I was a child in Sunday School we used to sing this song to that tune ...

The words went something like this...

For God so loved the world
I find it written
in verse 16, John’s Gospel Chapter 3
He gave His Son ...........
He died upon the cross at Calvary

I do not know just what He suffered there
I cannot tell the pain He had to bear
I only know that for me He was smittened
He died upon the Cross at Calvary

There is nothing wrong with Danny Boy. I love that song. I love Amazing Grace. It’s just that the song Herman Cain wasn’t Amazing Grace, but rather the title was correctly noted previously and the tune wasn’t the traditional tune for Amazing Grace (although the words really do fit the tune of the House of the Rising Sun even though it seems to me to be a bit incongruous when thusly applied). I haven’t tried but I don’t think the words of Amazing Grace would fit Danny Boy.

Beautiful. That was just beautiful.

Yes it was. It's inspiring to have a candidate who truly stands up for Jesus and is a genuine Servant of the Cross. Herman Cain's unapologetic commitment to Christianity stands in marked contrast to the current amoral _resident.

Satan has been put in his place, thank you very much. Brilliant. Inspiring. Out of the box.

People are going to love this. This will electrify his primary electorate base and boost his name ID. he flipped a "negative" into a "positive" just as I thought he would do. But it is so much more deeper than that. America needs to be shaken up and shocked in this way, if you ask me. I am all for this kind of thing. We have never seen it before. The closest was Harry Truman's mocking of HV Kaltenborn on election night, which also endeared him to millions. Go Herman Cain, may God be with you through this time of arrows slung mercilessly by a God-less enemy. Prevail!

Can you see him singing the National Anthem at the World Series, or at the Super Bowl?

That was so sweet. It was a first for a Presidental candidate sing such a beautiful song about Jesus in answer to questions about his faith. Way to go Mr. Cain!

"No the song Herman sang was a version of Amazing Grace..."

Incorrect. The song Mr. Cain sang a portion of makes reference to the song, "Amazing Grace," but is usually titled either, "Amazing Grace Shall Always Be My Song of Praise," or "He Looked Beyond My Fault and Saw My Need." It is sung to the tune of "Danny Boy".

the House of the Rising Sun

Psalm 23 can be sung to that tune..

however I prefer the old tune we used to sing when I was young..

Descants and all...

I haven’t tried Psalm 23 to it. Apparently, many can fit that tune. I just can’t seem to get the scrubby lyrics of ...Rising Sun out of my head and holy words and that tune seem incongruous to me. I understand that tones are just tones, but the emotion just isn’t there.

I love descants. I love hymns and four-part singing.
