WASHINGTON -- A group of Mexican senators announced Tuesday they are preparing to meet with state legislators in Georgia and four other states next month, hoping to head off more stringent immigration laws like the one Georgia enacted this year. The senators plan to share information with state lawmakers that shows illegal immigrants generally stay out of trouble and contribute to the economy while they are here.

Sen. Carlos Jimenez Macias, a member of the Mexican Senate’s Foreign Relations Committee, confirmed those plans Tuesday at a workshop on immigration reform in D.C. at the German Marshall Fund, a nonpartisan public policy institution.

So these Mexican senators don't care that their Citizens here illegally in America, only that they're seen as good little sheeple when they get here.

lets see, every ILLEGAL in a college or university is taking a seat from a legal resident.

every ILLEGAL recieving government loans or grants is taking money that would go to a legal resident for education.

I hope Georgia lawmakers stand firm. Of couse if they meet with only democrats and the souther poverty law center (see communists) this is all a meaningless pr stunt for MSNBC and CNN world.

Now, now you know that that word just isn't strong enough.
You have to use something really scary like xenophobe.

Mexican senators seek meeting with Georgia lawmakers over immigration

These Mexican senators should focus on fixing their hellhole of a country and quit sticking their noses in our political affairs.

A 43-year-old Juarez woman tried to avoid inspection at a U.S. port of entry Friday by crawling on the pedestrian lane of the Stanton Street Bridge in downtown El Paso, television station KVIA reported.

Customs and Border Protection officers intercepted Herlinda Coronado Magallanes as she was crawling north along the walkway around 6:20 a.m. Friday after another border crosser alerted the officers, KVIA said.

When she was spotted, Magallanes tried to flee back into Mexico, Customs and Border Protection officers said.

Magallanes, who had previously been removed from the United States, was arrested on suspicion of illegal entry and is being held without bond at the El Paso County Jail, KVIA said.

“The motorist who alerted CBP should be commended,” said Hector Mancha, CBP’s El Paso port director said. “Community members and law enforcement personnel working closely together can help maintain El Paso’s ranking as one of the safest large cities in the U.S.”

Another 48 immigration violations were reported over the weekend at ports of entry in El Paso, West Texas and New Mexico, the border agency said in a news release.

Officers stopped 24 intended immigrants, eight imposters, seven people who entered the U.S. without proper examination, six false claims to U.S. citizenship and three counterfeit or altered documents, the release said.
