Joel P. Bennett, the lawyer for one of the women who has made accusations against Mr. Cain, said that his client had decided not to go public or to make a public statement herself in an effort to shield herself from the media frenzy swirling around the situation.”
Well, that and she is completely full of shit.

In that case, how can we even be sure there *is* a woman? Bennett could be making this whole thing up.

everything will be through meLMAO! You'll never see her. You'll never hear her. But she will continue to accuse Cain of indefinite, but still very naughty, behavior through me. And she really does exist, too. Really! I am not making her up.

NO ONE is more disappointed than the lawyer Bennett. He was looking at new vacation home from this retainer.

I met Cain at the Peabody hotel the weekend of the Florida straightpoll. I was six feet from him. (True)
He LOOKED at me (ya know) in an odd way. I was very uncomfortable. I am going to file charges tomorrow. /sarc

How’s this for a deep, dark secret...the great detective, Remington Steel...he doesn’t exist. I invented him....

To all those who wish to see Cain destroyed, your failure to come to his defense over this BS has now legitimized this kind of surreal attack. And your guy, whether it’s Romney or Perry, is going to get it this way when he squares off against Obama next year.

Like the Perry guy: ‘Trust me, it’s really bad, but I won’t tell you what it is’. Sordid dirty tricks from the Perry camp against Cain.

He said she will continue to speak, but only through him. Bennett isn't going anywhere. He's going to continue be the source for this woman, whose existence we'll now never be able to confirm. She might be completely fictitious. I believe this is a watershed moment for journalistic standards.

This is the woman who was let go and received mere severance pay. No settlement. Cain told the truth about that.
This attorney Bennett told WaPo that he didn't have any records of the case, nor a copy of the "confidentiality agreement." Apparently it was a couple phone calls and that's all, which means she had no case. Damn right she doesn't want the Anita Hill treatment. Hill was exposed as a proven liar too.

He'll probably hit her with a bill so high she'll have no choice but to sell her story or go broke.
IF she exists.
Or maybe she sat down with her family and friends and got blank looks when she tearfully told them the traumatic story of how Herman Cain told her she was the same height as his wife.
"And then what happened?"
"That's it. The whole devastating experience...sob, sniff."
"Uh...really? That's the harassment?"
"Yes...no, wait! He...gasp, choke...he told me the color I was wearing looked great on me! Oh, the horror, the horror...!"

The way to kill this witch-hunt is to kick Cain's poll numbers up about 10 notches.
