Karl Rove swats Herman Cain for accusing Rick Perry (Romney stooge Rove continues his attacks...)
Politico ^ | 11/4/11 | ALEXANDER BURNS

Posted on 11/04/2011 4:45:38 AM PDT by jimbo123

Karl Rove said Friday that Herman Cain had no evidence to accuse the Rick Perry campaign of driving negative stories against him, arguing that Cain did "exactly what [he is] accusing the media of doing."

Rove said in an appearance on "Fox and Friends" that the "best way" for Cain to survive this week is to get the National Restaurant Association to release new information about the sexual harassment complaints lodged against him in the 1990s.

I think both the Cain and the Perry camp might want to take a close look at Chris Wilson and his connection to Rove.

Wilson, who rushed out to validate the smear job for the Junk Media based on nothing more then hearsay is a former employee of Rove. Wilson has a connection to the Perry camp.

This is turning into a twofer for Rove and GOP Establishment. They smear Cain and frame Perry all the while hoping this will help their candidate Romney.

And just what is this supposed “genius” Rove done?

He won two presidential elections by a few thousand votes that he should of won in a landslide. He presided over the utterly disastrous GOP showings in 2006 and 2008 and tried his best to destroy the Tea party Conservatives canidates in 2010.

He was actively working for the Castle camp when he trashed talked Christine O'Donnell in 2010 yet never disclosed his ties to Castle.

Rove is the documented enemy of, not an an ally of, the Conservative movement. As long as he insights on making himself our enemy, we will treat him as one.

Rove has the option to shut up his slanderous sniping at his own side and instead focus his fire on the left. Rove refuses to do that. Instead he focuses all his energy and bile on knifing his own Conservative base in the back.

Don't blame the victims for objecting to the totally vile conduct of the Rove and the rest of the GOP Establishmentbots.

Fox news is no longer a respite for Conservatives. Have you ever watched The Five with Beckel spewing his laughable lib talking points ad nauseum? The show is an absolute joke because of him.

Hannity is very loyal to his friends. He and Newt are thick so I imagine he is not a Cain supporter and therefore likes it that Rove is dissing him. But with Hannity, in the end, it’s all about his ratings and he’ll do anything to keep them.

I watch a little of F and Friends in the am, though Gretchen sometimes strays...then the first ten minutes of B’OR and Greta, who is a good interviewer, if I like her guests.

So Karl, did you follow your own advice here when you were accused of being the leak-er about Valarie Palmer?

So Karl, how about you finally put these questions to bed by releasing all documents you have about these events?

But that right, Rove has one standard for himself an another for his political opposition.

The accusations have been made. Cain refuted them. Rather then continue these slimely attack by asking the innocent to prove his innocence, how about Rove and the rest of the Romneybot media start asking the accusers to prove the accusations?

I don't believe the sexual harassment claims. I think it was a shakedown.

OTOH, whining about it and blaming Perry -- BASED ENTIRELY ON WILD SPECULATION -- has caused me to lose a lot of respect for Cain's character and judgement.

If it comes down to Cain v Newt, I'm going with Newt.

Devil’s advocate here. If a smoking gun emerges in a few days and Cain is forced to abandon his campaign, who benefits most in terms of his organization and supporters? I can’t imagine that any amount of them will flock to Romney, but if Perry is viewed as the hatchet man many Cain people will hesitate before backing him. Could Newt become the default “anti Romney” candidate? Just asking.

Pathetic how Rove has become FR's own Emmanuel Goldstein. The all purpose scapegoat for the failings and inadequacies of certain candidates.

Cain sounded small, mean and a little desperate with this accusation -— as he did when he said of Fox he believes this is race-based, even though he had no proof. .

What I don't understand is this: Cain knew this would come out—he was afraid of this during his Senate run a few years ago.

If this reaction is the best he could put together in all those YEARS—well...words fail me.

I can accept what you are saying. For those that are only pointing fingers at Perry, shame, shame.

I still believe it is the Obama/Romney camp. With this one they got two birds with one stone.

I do not belive Rove had anything to do with this. JMO

And don't any of you call me a Perryite. I just don't like unfairness for any of these men.

How about you ask your hero Karl Rove, why he did not follow the “advice” he is now giving Cain when he was accused of being the leaker about Valarie Palmer?

How about if Rove finally put these questions to bed by releasing all documents he has have about these events?

But that right, Rove has one standard for himself an another for his political opposition.

In Rove’s world his political opposition has to prove it's innocence but he is allowed the presumption of innocence when he is the target of the smear machine

The accusations have been made. Cain refuted them. Rather then continue these slime attacks by asking the innocent to prove his innocence, how about Rove and the rest of the Romneybot media start asking the accusers to prove the accusations?
