I like it, but I’m not sure it’s gonna happen.

What about Secretary of Energy?

Cain is history, and never had what it takes to begin with. We'd have gone from one boob in way over his head to another had Cain won.

As pathetic as it is to say, if Palin doesn't run, we're F___ED. Period.

Cain's number are UP as I understand....and Rush had an amazing take on Cain's handling of the "issue".....

he handled it unlike Clintoon...who established the bimbo team and hired big time hacks to investigate, harass, and attack the bimbos....

we didn't like that in Clintoon and we wouldn't want it in Cain....

Yeah, leading in the polls is history.

A case could be made that Huntsman, Paul, Bachman, Santorum, and Perry are history. None of them have even ten percent.

Two with limited DC experience? Rubio is too new and said he isn’t running. He needs more time. Cain needs someone with a ton of knowledge of DC - i.e Gingrich.

but the music? What the hell was THAT? Sounds like someone trying to sing after downing a glass of Draino!

Yes, it's a disgusting sound.

I suggested a Cain-Palin ticket a couple of weeks ago. I think that would be pretty high energy.

DC experience has gotten us to where we currently are. Perhaps it is time to think differently.

Kegger, I'm in agreement with you. Gingrich has zero executive experience and his record as Speaker of the House is not exactly a resume enhancer. While the contract with America was acted upon, that limited success was due more to influx of the new Rep. House members achieving majority in the House. As a House mgr Newt was avg at best. Sadly Newt's knowledge of history bogged him down. He knew what had been done but not how past effective speakers operated. He should have spent more time in studying Speaker Reed, one of the most powerful speakers who bent both sides of the House to his will, largely because of Reed's knowledge of procedures and the strength of his convictions and will. (Well worth the google effort to learn about him).

Newt was so enamoured of the trappings of his office, that Clinton and the media out foxed him every step of the way.

Bright guys with ideas are a dime a dozen, guys that have The ability to see the important idea through to effective completion are rarer. Newt talks a great game and sounds grand compared to the rest of the field, but when the hard work comes he falls flat on follow through because he gets another bright shining ooh ooh oo idea. It's a character flaw which his private life brings clearly displays. Do we really need another first lady with a magpie's delight in expensive jewelry or is other other half of the presidency?

We should be looking for a solid conservative VP candidate who could succeed as a Presidential one in turn. Sadly the current field is lacking a current one much less a future one.

Since it’s early, here’s a link to Thomas Brackett Reedm

http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thomas_Brackett_Reed

It’s a superficial piece, a recent biography provides more insight. With only one cup of java the name of the author and title escape me.
