Another woman jumps into race for president (This is for the guys)
WND ^ | 11/4/11 | Joe Kovacs

Posted on 11/05/2011 8:08:28 AM PDT by Baynative

Laurie Roth from Washington state is running not as a Republican, but as a self-described patriot and conservative on the American Independent Party ticket. She says she's already on the ballot in California, and will take steps to make sure her name is listed in the other 49 states.

Another pledge by Roth is to become totally energy independent in four years.

"America will be the largest exporter of energy in the world," says Roth. "Disconnect from OPEC. Employ 20 million people in energy infrastructure jobs [including] natural gas, oil, nuclear, solar and alternative fuels."

Interesting math here. Isn't the total gross domestic product $14.6 billion? How do you tax even $10 trillion out of that?

Obviously a simple typo, as I'm sure you know the GDP for 2010 was $14.6 trillion.

2% of that is $292 billion, and we have a $2 trillion annual budget.

According to you, who is qualified to run for president?

Someone who has experience in how government really works, knows how to get things done, and someone who knows how far they can push to change things, and won't be a laughing stock for their naivety.

Reagan was an actor, but was also a union president and a state governor. His first political job was not POTUS.

If I want an educated woman I want a teacher or a nurse. No deal. PhD in counselling?

Stay away. Stay very far away...

Re: ...

I though she looked familiar--

Then I realized she is a dead ringer for Paget Brewster... of "Criminal Minds."

Nice looking, good actress but most likely another... liberal pinhead!

Yet that never stopped me... from hitting on one!

Have you taken any psychology in the last 10 years?

It’s a cesspool. I’d want to see her thesis before I’d even take a second look.

From the article:

“On her list of issues, she highlights her contention Obama is not even legally eligible to hold the presidency.

“’He has presented a verified forgery of his long-form birth certificate on April 27, 2011,’ she said.”

Dr. Roth is a solid constitutionalist (a.k.a. “birther”) who has invited Dr. Corsi and others at the forefront of articulating Obama’s ineligibility onto her radio program for in-depth interviews.

I expect her attempt to challenge Obama’s eligibility and obtain subpoena's of Obama's original 1961 HI LFBC and rulings on his NBC status being a claimed UK subject at birth using her qualification as a candidate “with standing” consistent with numerous federal court rulings, as some other candidates are doing.

I haven’t seen much to speak well of it. I know one really good psychology professor, but she focusses more on physiology, and the connections between the brain and the rest of the body. Especially with respect to exercise as a form of therapy. It’s an interesting field, that tends to be much more rigorous than Skinner and his minions.

Beyond that, I’m not fond of the discipline. I hope it works well for your neice, but I’ve seen it destroy more families than it has helped.

Do you know anything about her field and her thesis? Would be good to know.

“Do you know anything about her field and her thesis?”

See Dr. Roth’s extensive discussion of the “birther” evidence against Obama...and her disclosure of her own credentials:

http://gunnyg.wordpress.com/2009/08/08/has-the-media-been-muzzled-re-threats-birthers-obama-by-dr-laurie-roth/

“Perhaps some of you feel like Glenn Beck. If it is proven what can we do anyway? We wouldn’t possibly throw him out of office. Shame on Glenn Beck for cashing in like that! I thought Beck had more courage than that! Of course we must have the moral and constitutional courage to do the right thing. We must demand with court discovery that Barack Hussein Obama show his real, long form birth certificate.

“Why has he paid over a million in legal fees to hide all his records, not just some? Why are we not allowed to see any of Obama’s college records, passport records or birth records? Could it be that Obama received foreign student money from Indonesia or other foreign places paying his way through college? Why hide your records? Anyone can find my records of my Ph.D. at Oregon State University. My degree is in Counseling which was in the School of Education. My dissertation is in the library and I worked my way through school and got an assistantship to cover the rest. Any questions? There is nothing to hide here.”

No link to the dissertation, eh? That would be interesting to read. Thank you, just trying to do due diligence here.

Blessings.

Ah, last time I looked it was the boys and girls with the experience who’ve driven us over the Marxist cliff. I’d like to see what conservative amateurs do at bat. Particularly one with real life, significant and successful business experience. One who did not have his life handed to him on a silver platter. Does that resonate with you at all?

How much is trades daily on the stock markets? There are 1.3 Billion shares traded every day. That works out to 298 Billion a year, figuring in 260 trading days. That is just the NYSE. 13 Billion shares are traded on the NASDAQ per year. That is 311 Billion shares, .01% of that would be 31 Billion shares, times that by the shares worth. You get a HUGE number.

My public education says that 31 billion is 10% of 311 billion.

And we have a $3.8 trillion annual budget. So if Wall Street paid a $10 tax on every share traded, we would still have an annual budget deficit.

But I think that if you did impose a $10 tax on every share traded, you would soon find out that far, far fewer than 311 billion shares get traded as a result.

Not a 1 cent tax on each share, but a .01% tax on the value of the share. The average price per share if it was $100 would be $1.00. Do that for every commodity and every trade. It does add up to trillions each year. $1.00 to gamble is not intrusive on a hundred dollar share, and it is affordable.
