To be poor in America - really poor - is illegal. You are disallowed the options required for viable living at a cost below median world income - even a cost several times higher than that.

That said, I agree there are so many opportunities that poverty is a choice of will or ignorance. (See tagline.)

Exactly. THAT type of dynamic is just one of many, keeping industry from growing in this country. Liberals like to attack conservatives who say over-regulation is one of the main things acting as a drag on new business development and entrepreneurship, but they don't see it.

They think there should be more...a LOT more. Of course, WE know where that road goes. They would know too, if they weren't liberals. To them, history begins five seconds ago.

Excellent point, and I just wanted to add to what you said:
