Reagan said that with a smile. Not anger.

Maybe you never saw Reagan, but he didn't say this with a smile nor did he laugh it off. He was clearly angry and acted like it.

One of the criticisms of Bush was that he would not defend himself. Enough! Voters want a leader with backbone who will not bow down to our enemies or obnoxious reporters, that is one reason they are joining in the support of Herman Cain.

Thanks for the vidoe.

Righteous anger is very effective when used in the right situation.

This idea of ‘smiling compassionate conservatives’ has run it’s day, and caused some ruin to the true conservative casue

Yes I saw that exchange when I happened I believe. I think it was televised. It was in regard to a petty dispute over who should be speaking at a debate. Whole different situation than Cain’s defensive testy exchange. Reagan generally laughed and smiled things off when asked questions. They called him the “teflon president”. Cain will grow and learn as he goes.

Thanks. You are correct, I have never seen that clip.

The instance I recalled, he was at a lecturn and put his opponent in his place very firmly. I thought he used “paid for this microphone” at that time. My memory isn’t what it once was!
