Ron Paul on life and liberty:
http://www.youtube.com/ronpaul#p/u/2/MkAsLPrnJGc
"The longer I live, the more convincing proofs I see of this truth: that God governs the affairs of man [Romans 8:28]. And if a sparrow cannot fall to the ground without His notice [Matthew 10:29], is it probable that an empire can rise without His aid? We have been assured in the Sacred Writings that except the Lord build the house, they labor in vain that build it [Psalms 127:1]. I firmly believe this. I also believe that, without His concurring aid, we shall succeed in this political building no better than the builders of Babel [Genesis 11:1-9]."

I saw you on Fox News Sunday, Mr. Paul.
You said that we need to stop provoking the iranians and if we just act nice to them they will be nice back to us.
You, sir, are a fool of the worst kind.

So he’s accepted Christ. That’s nice for him. But what does it have to do with the fact that he is happy to see Iran become a nuclear power?

Then he cannot be a good libertarian if he truly is a Christian.

I hope this is true, but I prefer to evaluate a man's faith by his actions. Even Obama claims to be a Christian, although our Dear Leader uses phrases that are far from Christian in making that claim.
Obama interview: OBAMA: I am a Christian. So, I have a deep faith. So I draw from the Christian faith. On the other hand, I was born in Hawaii where obviously there are a lot of Eastern influences. I lived in Indonesia, the largest Muslim country in the world, between the ages of six and 10. My father was from Kenya, and although he was probably most accurately labeled an agnostic, his father was Muslim. And Id say, probably, intellectually Ive drawn as much from Judaism as any other faith . . . I believe that there are many paths to the same place, and that is a belief that there is a higher power, a belief that we are connected as a people . . .
And Im not somebody who is always comfortable with language that implies Ive got a monopoly on the truth, or that my faith is automatically transferable to others. Im a big believer in tolerance. I think that religion at its best comes with a big dose of doubt . . .
Jesus is an historical figure for me, and hes also a bridge between God and man, in the Christian faith, and one that I think is powerful precisely because he serves as that means of us reaching something higher. And hes also a wonderful teacher. I think its important for all of us, of whatever faith, to have teachers in the flesh and also teachers in history . . .
[In response to question: What is sin?] OBAMA: Being out of alignment with my values . . .
____________________________________________________________
I'll evaluate Ron Paul if he becomes a contender with a chance to win. At the moment though, he has too many quirks for me to take him seriously. As far as his Christianity, I'll accept his word on that unless he goes out of his way, as Obama did, to prove that it's a lie.

Iran is incapable of doing any military harm to the US.
I’m tired of wasting so much money on foreign policy. We’re broke. We need major major cuts everywhere. Including military spending.
To: GeronL
He isn’t a libertarian. He’s a traditional conservative. Limited Constitutional Government is what most libertarians agree with, and what mot traditional conservatives believe.

But what if they attack ISRAEL?!! (Israel only has 300 nuclear weapons, you know.)

You are very wrong.
If the mullahs get nukes how long will it take them to get some jihadi to touch one off on US or Israeli soil? Not long at all.
We will never be so broke that we should stop defending ourselves.

Jimmy Carter said the same thing.

Since he’s for legalizing DOPE, that makes him a LIBERTARIAN instead of a CONSERVATIVE.
FACTS.....
Now buzz off, paul-bot
