He legally owned actual rifles, shotguns, and pistols... but goes to jail for lack of licenses for 4 air rifles! Sound moderators, suppressors, or silencers are much less controled in the UK than in the United States. I do not believe a separate license is necessary for them their, or if it now is, it is quite easy to get.

They might need those air rifles once their continent starts to burn.

I think it was the “two charges of possessing a bullet” that really put it over the edge.

At least the judge didn’t scream “You’ll shoot your eye out!” at him.

When compression springs are outlawed, only outlaws will have compression springs.

Nick Doherty, defending, said that there was 'no suggestion of any nefarious use of any of these items.'

However, Judge Brown asked the prosecution to write to the Home Office expressing his concerns over the need for legislation for antique firearms.

I am concerned about guns falling into the wrong hands which can have lethal consequences,' he said.

Advice from an old man: Serve your time son and go West. You would be welcome and feel right at home in Texas. England is finished.

The olde axiom “the Sun never sets on England” has now become “the Sun is setting on England”!
Sir Winston has been forgotten!

One day, probably not in the too far distant future, Britain is going to once again come under attack and they will be begging us for guns AGAIN. My great uncles and my grand parents donated some guns to help them out in WWII.

I will not lift a finger to help them. I will not donate any of my guns just to be destroyed by morons after the crisis is over...not if but when they once again are under attack. I will not donate a single firearm help them out. I would highly recommend that the British citizenry demand their gun rights back and get them before it’s too late.

I bought a Webley air pistol many years ago. Even back then, there was a note in the box that warned that if I ever had to replace the spring, I should use genuine Webley parts. Springs of unknown origin could raise the velocity to more than what was legal and subject the owner to criminal prosecution. Luckily, I am not in England.
