A U.S. judge sided with tobacco companies on Monday, granting a temporary injunction blocking rules requiring new warning labels that use graphic images like a man exhaling cigarette smoke through a hole in his throat.

Too late - this started with ‘warning labels’ (one line or so) in the 60s, escalated to paragraph-length mandatory ‘warnings’, and now, pictures for the smokers who must be illiterate..
Question for the Constitutional Scholars - why isn’t coerced speech equally as Constitutionally repugnant as suppressed speech??
How about graphic warning pictures at all Planned Parenthood clinics detailing what happens to the child during an abortion?
Applying the same standard, each voting ballot would be required to show pictures of politicians stuffing their pockets with cash.

They’re like the terrorists who kidnap people and make them make statements which support the terrorist cause.
The government needs to shut up or outlaw cigs all ready and stop raking in billions in taxes.

I was thinking along the same lines.
To my knowledge the cigarette industry has ‘voluntarily’ agreed to the Surgeon Generals Warning and restrictions on advertising up to this point(albeit under pressure of settling some litigation).
Whether Government can MANDATE it out of whole-cloth is a serious matter for the courts to decide.
Now thats a man that loves his cigarettes...its his life, he can do as he wishes....

Grotesque pictures of dead babies at abortion clinics will only make population control liberals happy. They are sick. They love animals and the planet but they hate people.
