Report: Sarkozy calls Netanyahu 'liar' (Obama AGREES, Caught On Open Mic!)
YNET ^ | 11-7-11 | YNET

The conversation then drifted to Netanyahu, at which time Sarkozy declared: "I cannot stand him. He is a liar." According to the report, Obama replied: "You're fed up with him, but I have to deal with him every day!"

The remark was naturally meant to be said in confidence, but the two leaders' microphones were accidently left on, making the would-be private comment embarrassingly public.

The communication faux pas went unnoticed for several minutes, during which the conversation between the two heads of state – which quickly reverted to other matters – was all but open to members the press, who were still in possession of headsets provided by the Elysée for the sake of simultaneous translation during the G20 press conference.

"By the time the (media) services at the Elysée realize it, it was on for at least three minutes," one journalist told the website. Still, he said that reporters "did not have a chance to take advantage of this fluke."

The surprising lack of coverage may be explained by a report alleging that reporters present at the event were requested to sign an agreement to keep mum on the subject of the embarrassing comments.

A member of the media confirmed Monday that "there were discussions between journalists and they agreed not to publish the comments due to the sensitivity of the issue."

Report: Sarkozy calls Netanyahu 'liar'

Microphones accidently left on after G20 meeting pick up private conversation between US, French presidents. Sarkozy admits he 'can't stand' Israeli premier. Obama: You're fed up with him? I have to deal with him every day!

French President Nicolas Sarkozy reportedly told US President Barack Obama that he could not "stand" Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and that he thinks the Israeli premier "is a liar."

According to a Monday report in the French website "Arret sur Images," after facing reporters for a G20 press conference on Thursday, the two presidents retired to a private room, to further discuss the matters of the day.

The conversation apparently began with President Obama criticizing Sarkozy for not having warned him that France would be voting in favor of the Palestinian membership bid in UNESCO despite Washington's strong objection to the move.

And they wonder why their credibility has gone into the crapper.

0bummer’s Jewish base will largely hold firm. They can't vote for a Republican conservative (even a Romney) for they equate conservatism with right wing, and right wing with the Nazis. Yes, I know Hitler and the Nazis arguably were not right wing. But it's their perception not mine.

We have new allies now. The Muzzie Brotherhood.

Israel can pound sand as long as a Muzzie sympathizer occupies the White Hut.

“Bush calling a reporter an asshole on an open mic was the lead story FOR DAYS....”

Was this the Bush/Cheney open mic moment? I believe it was “first class asshole.” I also remember the issue being about how children would react to the fact that a leader used this type of language.

Translation: Bibi lives in his head.

From what I've read Obama was pissed because France surprisingly voted for Palestinian UNESCO membership and I'm quite sure Bibi let Obama know what he thinks about that.

IMHO it's not that Obama outright agrees with Sarkozy (which he actually didn't) or that Netanyahu lives in Obama's head, but that it comes across in a way that his royal self can't be bothered to deal with world affairs, i.e. his job. How jaded can one person be?

It will hold firm because they are left of Lenin hard core liberal loons who basically go not believe in the legal existence of Israel at all - I know a few of them down here in Florida and the ignorance is appalling

It was during the 2006 Israeli war and Bush said (with his mouth full of food) something like, Syria needs to quit supplying arms to Hezbollah. And your right, it was plastered all over the news and analysts were all over saying how dumb Bush was.

so are we all looking forward to Rush telling his 35 million listeners this?

There's a very good chance Rush will mention this. Why do you think he won't?

Correct!!! And Bibi knows it.

I wonder who else Obama “has to deal with every day.” Probably all of the Republican governors. He certainly seems to be vindictive in his dealings with their states.

A member of the media confirmed Monday that "there were discussions between journalists and they agreed not to publish the comments due to the sensitivity of the issue." because the truth would embarrass the progressive movement.

Fixed it.

Not surprising but nonetheless extremely worrying remarks.

Sarkozy is a dangerous man and now proven hater of Israel along with Obama.

2012 can’t come soon enough......Israel will be destroyed if Obama wins re election.
