IT'S COME TO THIS: Could Sarah Palin Could Get Back In The Race?
Business Insider ^ | November 8, 2011 | Glynnis MacNicol

Posted on 11/08/2011 12:17:50 PM PST by 2ndDivisionVet

Things are so bad for the GOP and/or Republicans are so turned off by the idea that Mitt Romney is their only viable option rumors have once again surfaced that Sarah Palin could get back in the race.

Yes.

NYT numbers expert Nate Silver thinks there's a slim chance she could pull it off.

One major constraint is that the filing deadline has already passed in New Hampshire, South Carolina and Florida. So a candidate who entered now could not get her name on the ballot in those states, although some states, like New Hampshire, allow for write-in votes.

However, the candidate could participate in caucuses, including the Jan. 3 caucus in Iowa and the February caucuses in Maine, Nevada, Colorado and Minnesota, which do not have rigid filing deadlines.

She would also potentially be able to participate in the primaries in Arizona and Michigan on Feb. 28, which are the next primaries following a four-week gap after Florida....

The weird headline is at the source, not a goof-up by me.

Anyone who thinks Chris Christie has a better shot at the Republican nomination than Sarah Palin is smoking better dope than the richest trustafarian at Zuccotti Park!

“BACK” in the race? Wouldn’t someone have to have BEEN in the race to get “BACK” in the race?

She could “GET IN” the race however.

If Myth is the nominee, Sarah could mount a third-party campaign and win.

Myth is no Ross Perot.

He would split the Liberal vote.

She’s still my first choice. Solid moral compass, a real Christian and not a fake one, a proven record on cutting pork (even “free” pork from the Feds) and dumping Republicans of the Corrupt Bastards’ Club as well as corrupt Democrats. Knows how to develop the economy and cut regulations. Is solidly proven on the social issues. Not afraid to confront our enemies and not back down.

I’m really angry at the way they’ve been going after Cain. But I still have reservations about what he would actually DO if he got into office. He has worked for Bob Dole, and he has said he’d be willing to be Mitt Romney’s VP.

I KNOW that Sarah could rise to the occasion. And she’s the only one yet in sight, frankly.

“- Things are so bad for the GOP and/or Republicans are so turned off by the idea that Mitt Romney is their only viable option”

This is not accurate. The Republican establishment and Mitt Romney fit together like a glove.

It’s no longer Republicans versus Democrats, Ms. MacNicol, but Conservatives versus NWO Communists. The latter includes the Republican establishment going along with whatever the New World Order Communists and the Demonrats are doing.

The Conservatives represent the people of America.

I am suspect of ANYTHING Gay Nate Silver has to say, especially coming from the gay-run New York Times.

You’ll note how “GAY” keeps coming up when you are talking about today’s “Mainstream” media?

As I look at the field I fail to see anybody better than her. She may (or may not) consider herself ‘out of the running’ but I am tired of choosing between bad and worse. Unless someone is willing to stand up and take her place I will write her name on my ballot. If one of the present slate of GOP wannabees gets the oval office or if Obumble gets re-elected it will make little difference to this once-great republic. They’re all Socialists.

We have a very viable front runner in Herman Cain. I just sent him another $100 today. Don’t the enemy with false charges take that away from the Country. Help Herman Cain by sending him your patriotic best check at:

And God bless America!

Sarah can ber in charge of the Energy Dept.!

Nonsense.

I was a Palin supporter but when she declined to run I switched my allegiance to Herman Cain and there it remains. Although I still admire her, by sitting on the sidelines Sarah Palin has diminished in importance for most conservatives. I'm not sure why Sarah Palin decided not to run. It could have been the fact that she was accused of having sex with some athlete while in college, which, while hardly making her ineligible to run for the Republican nomination, would be an embarrassing revelation for a Christian mother of five and enough to persuade her not to run. Or, it could be that she simply didn't want to deal with the kind of Chicago gutter politics the Obama people would have used on her - and her family.

One look at the garbage being dumped on Herman Cain (accusations of misbehavior with no witnesses. Accusations he can only deny but can probably never disprove) is proof that the GOP presidential nominee will be covered head to toe in manure from the Obama campaign. Even the Democrat's favorite Republican, Mitt Romney, will get 'the Chicago treatment'. What else can Obama do? He has no record of achievement in office and bragging about killing Osama bin Laden won't cut it for most people. Although, in politics, anything can happen, I don't believe that Sarah Palin will be running for president in 2012.

I don’t think Sarah could win but I also don’t think any of the ones running could win. We need someone new.. with no luggage, who would light up the GOP. Who could that person be???? Not Sarah, but it isn’t Cain either. I doubt all of these women were approached but it doesn’t matter at this point.. He is harmed I sent him money and wanted him to be the one but it isn’t panning out.

Oh please.

This is a filthy Presidential election, not a soap opera.

If Sarah Palin couldn't handle the bogus attacks as governor of Alaska, what makes any rational person think she can deal with the high altitude $hit-slinging of a Presidential campaign? She's doing great on the stump. Give it a rest and let her be.

It would make her look indecisive.

I really doubt it. Sarah could easily explain it. She decided not to run the first time because she thought that the conservative banner would be held by Perry or Cain but their campaigns have faltered. Rather than see conservative positions unrepresented in the primaries, she had to get back in for the good of the country.

I don't think that she'll have to get back in. Unless something much more substantive than the allegations heard so far, Cain can probably persevere.

SP is the ONLY (potential) GOP candidate who has been vetted, vetted again, then re-vetted. She's had the media colonoscopy (please excuse the disturbing imagery) that NONE of the others have.

IF Cain falls, either by the drip-drip of MSM stories OR by his own (so-far) not-ready-for-primetime handling, each of the remaining candidates will be subject to the same procedure BECAUSE THEY HAVEN'T BEEN THROUGH THE MEDIA WRINGER that Gov. Palin has.

I also doubt that she'll join the race; but fervently pray that I'm wrong.
