I think at the time of the OKC bombing, they were trying to hide a successful attack on our land. One can also wonder about the rash of Airplane crashes back in the 70’s/80’s, because those were almost eliminated with upgraded security measures.
PBS put out a video a few years ago about the “Man who Knew”, a few years ago, who was an FBI agent who was a thorn in the side of the FBI, because he was so obsessed with Bin Laden and an attack he knew was coming. Eventually he left the FBI and became head of security at the WTC. His first day at his new job was the day the towers came down.
You just can’t put anything past tptb anymore.
The name of the TV thing was The Man Who Predicted 9/11. His name was Rick Rescorla, and he was a veteran of Landing Zone X-Ray, Iadrang Valley, Viet Nam. Rick was a great American Hero.
Here is a website about him-
Just yesterday my book club met to discuss The Cell, by John Miller, published in 2003. The agent you are referring to is John O’Neill.
I recently read some amazing interviews on pbs.org associated with the “Man who Knew” episode of Frontline. Of particular interest was Fran Townsend’s recollection. She served both Clinton and George W. Bush in counterterrorism. http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/shows/knew/
Another great read about O’Neill and the frantic effort to solve the first WTC bombing and prevent further attacks is The Man who Warned America, by Murray Weiss.
Triple Cross by Peter Lance is excellent, as are his other books, 1000 Years for Revenge, and Cover Up. He “gets” Oklahoma City and TWA Flight 800.
