LOL. That’s pretty much the reaction of most men, I’d daresay.

This was already an old tactic when Jericho fell.

Dragnet approach is something new, though. No spy organization can deploy so many simultaneously except China.

“They say the three main reasons people spy is....

Ego. Ideology. Sex.”

The Soviets said the principal reason was cash. They tried to ALWAYS press cash upon their (knowing) sources, according to ‘Viktor Suvorov’. Not that I am a scholar, far less an expert on the subject.

Perhaps as a mentor.

Well yes, Cash is always nice - and keeps them coming back for more.

The more cash the more it makes the Ego driven feel like they are really important and living like James Bond or whatnot.

But yes, usually the seduced and the ideologically aligned are also paid cash.

Pollard for example claims that he was ideologically aligned with Israel - but he also wanted them to PAY HIM LOTS OF MONEY. And he also sold secrets to China.

I wonder if smart us guys or visitors in beijing use this to their advantage, e.g. by implying they are important gov or high tech executives with secret info and letting this kind of “spy” to seduce them.

They can make up some bs secrets during the passionate night..

Katoey (ladyboys) are better looking than his beard.

Seriously those need to come with a warning label. That has to violate a whole bunch of truth in advertising laws.

Next time you visit china, print out some random defence docs from the internet, attach TOP SECRET label to them and read them in Starbucks.

Then simply wait until approached..

I was in Bangkok for a couple of weeks in ‘05 with my ex-wife. She was a stewardess, and flew around all over Asia. Her advice: If you see an absolutely stunning woman somewhere here in Bangkok, that’s not a woman. That’s a man. The men are more attractive as women then the women are.

And she was right.

The East Germans sent a cadre of really good looking men to seduce the secretaries of high officials in the West German government.

Didn't a bank out East do that for Barney Frank? Although, in that case I wouldn't call it a honey trap.

There are about 40,000 Chinese “students” here in the US trolling for commercial and government secrets.

No, in Barney’s case, it’d be a fudge trap.
