"Weak Field" Spanks CNBC Liberals (in debate)
American Thinker ^ | 11-10-11 | C. Edmund Wright

Putting aside Rick Perry's awful 53 seconds, the real story of the CNBC debate last night was how thoroughly the so-called weak field of Republican Presidential candidates collectively embarrassed the panel aggregated by the financial network. This was not lost on questioners Maria Bartiromo and Jim Cramer, whose demeanor change was obvious as the debate wore on. Meanwhile, in the post debate questioning, manchild Carl Quintenilla asked perhaps the worst question in the history of American journalism by trying to couch Herman Cain's "Queen Nancy" reference in light of his "problems with women." Puh-leeze.

Simply a commentary on the debate and the field versus the media last night - not a commentary on particular candidates per se.

Carl Quintenilla has a lot in common with Obama. They are both in their present positions because of affirmative action. What a horrible mistake that Leftist policy has been!

My God is CNBC the most pompously self worshiping network or what? I never watched them before and the blow hard self aggrandizement of their intros was embarrassing for them.

It is a weak field. The fact that they can still run rings around liberals when they focus their effort on doing that just shows how a weak conservative is still better than any liberal.

“This was not lost on questioners Maria Bartiromo and Jim Cramer..”

Mental pygmies shouldn’t try to brain-wrestle with their betters.

Harwood = Weak Sister, Maria = Lost At Sea, Cramer = Insane Moron!!! That sums it up nicely!!! Please....Please.....Pubbies, No more debates withj the entire group of leftist retards at CNBC, MSNBC or the NBC mother ship!!! let them send in their questions, if they must!!! Mr. Cain ate Maria’s lunch!!! She was stunned!!! No more words from her after Cain shiut her mouth for her. As for Harwood, in one short sentance, Mitt Romney, to his credit sent him back to his room for a permanent time out. What whimps and low life!!!! Actually, there is a lesson to be learned here. It is fine and OK to be diplomatic, cordial and coopeerative in responding to difficult inquiries, but when confronted out of the blue, a harsh response is equal to the hard questioner!!! Cain & Romney were outstanding in taking these two “dirt bags” down!!!

1. Cain’s comment was regarding ‘Princess Nancy’ not ‘Queen Nancy’.

2. The Mods were the worst of any debate so far. If they didn’t like the direction a response was taking, they frequently interrupted the responder.

The Mods acted like they were auditioning for positions with the ‘liberal’ MSM. Many of their questions were ridiculous. At Gingrich pointed out to one: You expect me to answer that in 30 seconds?

>> Except if your name is Rick Perry. LOL You’re lying gutter trash! >>

That is a harsh accusation and does not have one shred of evidence to support it. My analysis of Perry last night was from someone who likes him and was cringing FOR him, not AT him.

My favorite Cain answer was in response to the question “What's wrong with the Dodd/Frank legislation”.

Cain replied that #1 it doesn't deal with the problems at Fannie and Freddie, and #2&3 Dodd and Frank.

by trying to couch Herman Cain's "Queen Nancy" reference in light of his "problems with women."

As pointed out, it was 'Princess Nancy'. I support Cain, so I was disappointed to hear him say that he probably shouldn't have said it.

the worst question in the history of American journalism by trying to couch Herman Cain's "Queen Nancy" reference in light of his "problems with women."

Any sexual harassment toward Nacy Pelosi would be grounds for automatic removal from any office and reason for a lengthy stay in a nice padded room.

The moderators were incredulous that none of the candidates (even Huntsman) are willing to bail out Italy or forgive college loans.

The one guy looked constipated all night, especially when Cain made his Dodd-Frank joke.

...but I think Carl Q said “Queen Nancy” in his question.

I may be wrong, but I was quoting Carl Q not Cain. Either way, you get the point.

He did... ...Quintanilla is just another NBC/Obama stooge.

I do wish our side would stop apologizing("probably should not have made...")when they make a statement of fact. It makes them sound like they cannot control their own thoughts/words, let alone debate someone elses...not a reassuring quality for potential voters looking for someone with conviction.

Nancy does come across as royalty whenever she speaks...when she uses the word "pee-pol" you can literally hear the word "little" in front of it.

Evidence? You can't even be honest on your own thread. You posted this was "not a commentary on particular candidates per se." Yet that is all it was!

You call Perry a loser, twice and link him to the losers at CNBC. Pure tripe! Like I said, you're lying gutter trash!

This was the best debate I ever watched IN SPITE of the mediators’ covert attempt at sabotaging the candidates. They tried to ingratiate themselves into the debate and made fools of themselves. I am proud of how all the candidates handled them, and even Romney, when asked if he would hire Cain, told them Cain did a good job of answering the question, and Cain did. And, what in the hell did that have to do with the economy? Maria was showboating, and it backfired! Some business channel. /s

That was Steve Leesman, he looks that way all the time, he's a dedicated Keynesian who Rick Santelli regularly smacks down.
