Six thoughts from someone who just happened to be in "Happy" Valley for this week.

1) This whole situation is just horrible. The hearts of all of us in Happy Valley go out to the victims and their families.

2) I hope to God that the Mark Madden rumors are not true.

3) The general opinion around here is that JoePa is innocent and is being unfairly criticized by the media. That's why students were chanting "F*** the media" and tipped over the tv van.

4) Saying there were 2,000 people at the riot last night is one of the most ridiculous reports I have ever seen. At first, I thought it was a typo and they omitted a zero. The media has done a better job estimating attendance at Glenn Beck rallies and the annual March for Life.

5) I watched Bradley's press conference in a restaurant in downtown State College. A large portion of the people there were either crying or close to crying. Others have told me the same thing was happening where they were watching the press conference.

6) This whole situation is one of the most unbelievable things I have ever witnessed.

My son is class of ‘09. He is crushed. My husband and I are devastated. I thought we researched the school thoroughly and had no idea the culture had become so gay oriented. What happened to those boys just gives you a sick feeling in the pit of your stomach.

Says more about the warped priorities of Penn Staters then it does about the Board.

Joe Pa was turned into a fall guy because Graham Spanier needed company to take the heat off his politically correct effeminate ass. That's all.

If interested, you can read my support for this opinion here.

I grew up in Western PA, my sister took her master’s degree at Penn State, half the men my father ever worked with went to Penn State.

Joe Paterno deserves to be fired, arrested, and locked up for his part in this. The actual molester(s) deserve to be hanged by the neck until dead, at the very least. This absolutely brings shame on the entire school, to say nothing of the football program.

If the general opinion is that it’s the media’s fault and Joe Paterno is totally innocent - if I lived in that town I’d walk away and never come back. I won’t live with people who think ignoring child abuse is ok. I have close family members that I no longer speak to because they thought that way.

While I certainly respect the wishes of the victims, the Trustees has no choice but to fire that old bastard. He doesn’t deserve another MINUTE on the payroll or even near that university.

Truly, the future of Penn State’s ability to salvage any of it’s reputation required that he be ousted immediately.

Given what we know, I’m thrilled that his legacy will be the man who helped enable a pedophile continue practicing his perversion. It’s the least he deserves for his choices.

There are so many morons in America these days that it is easy to give up hope. Joe Paterno is a disgrace as is any other shmuck that knew Sandusky was a homosexual deviant using boys as toys.

No one (outside Unhappy Valley) is associating Coach Paterno's dethroning with the victims in the least.

The firing was strictly due to Coach Paterno "overlooking" (the most charitable term I can use) Sandusky's pederasty.

I did something I thought I would never do...I listened to Mark Madden’s radio show this afternoon.

MM connected the dots and ‘went there’ back in April...and he has been contacted by national/cable media all day (he will be ON AC360 tonight). I post this all because he has an interesting take on why McQueery remains on the coaching staff. If he is still a university employee...and maybe silenced, he is under their thumb/control. This also keeps his dad on the reservation as well. He also mentioned, from his sources, McQ is being ‘watched’ as he is very depressed.
