They're free to borrow my tent razing device.

How long will the parks be closed afterwards for cleaning, fumigating, disinfecting, etc.?

They said they would have to go in and inspect before saying how long it will take to make repairs and re-open the parks for public (legal) use.

They’re only going to shut down after the Mayor trolls through them to replenish his stock of 17-year-olds.

Wow, I had no idea Sammy-the-boy-molestor was still mayor. He would be jailed in the civilized world for molesting a 16 YO boy in a filthy public restroom, but hey, its Porkland.

Will the park be considered a Superfund site and receive the proper funding for the cleanup?

From the article.

“A 26-year-old woman named Emma said she wouldn’t leave, either. “If we break up the tribes, that leaves us without any other options,” she said. “The only power we have is in numbers”

“break up the tribes” You gotta be kidding me? Are they all wearing buckskin and sporting feathers in their hair?

The Democrats have decided that the "Occupy" encampments have outlived their usefulness.

They're going to perfect removal procedures on the sattelite encampments before taking on the big one in Manhattan.

I see Mayor Adams is using the Lord Humungous tactic. "There has been too much violence. Too much pain. But I have an honorable compromise. Just walk away. Just walk away and there will be an end to the horror." Mayor Adams: The Warrior of the Wasteland; the Ayatollah of Rock and Rolla'. Who knew? As a former resident of the City of Roses, I'm glad to see that Mayor Adams is putting an end to this farce.

I was thinking about putting an ad on Craigslist......

"Senior citizens with the rare condition of 'sudden acceleration syndrome' needed to help clear the streets of maggot infested bedwetting scumbags"

I think your idea is better.....lol

Unfortunately, it makes little difference. Portland has been occupied for the last 30 years by the same DEMONCRAT lowlifes spilling out into the streets.

I know.

I lived there in mid 90s when Bud Clark was mayor.

It was weird then, too, but it was more tolerable to what it’s become. I was last back in 09......yeech. It truly sucks now.

In the 90s, I never felt unsafe downtown, even late. Not anymore. It’s gone straight to hell, sad to say.

Mayor Sam Adams? Is Jim Beam the chief of police? I suppose Jack Daniels is the governor of the state.

If you or I tried camping overnight in one of these parks we’d be cited and evicted right? So why is it ok for these people to do it

Coordinated use of high pressure hoses with a siphon attachment connected to 50 gallon drums of LYSOL will clean deodorize & disinfect the park area almost as fast as a napalm strike from an A-10 OR A HARRIER JET but with out all the extra collateral damage.

“I lived there in mid 90s when Bud Clark was mayor.”

Good times........relatively speaking.

“It was weird then, too, but it was more tolerable to what it’s become. I was last back in 09......yeech. It truly sucks now.

There is a great bumper sticker to counter the Keep Portland Weird crowd.

“Weird...it ain’t working!”

“Sunday? Plenty of time for a change of mind.”

I don’t think their minds will change. But, what happens after Sunday will be interesting...will they allow them back? They said that, after the clean up, they would enforce all of the park laws on the books. I know that the businesses have been complaining to the top of their lungs.

The police have already picked up rocks and other assorted weapons that they were stockpiling. Kudos to the OP guy who alerted them to it.

Some have already cleared out...and I believe those to be the original occupiers, and not the anarchists, unions, and other assorted nuts who have taken over.

The SOS went out to other left coast occupy people...in particular Oakland. However, I think Oakland is getting their own eviction notice.

I think these blue mayors have “talked”. ;o)

This cracks me up:

What the City of Portland has failed to prove, however, is that the protesters of Occupy Portland are direct threats to public safety and economic activity.

-----------------------------------------------

"In the past few days, the balance has tipped," Adams said. "We have experienced two very serious drug overdoses where individuals required immediate resuscitation in the camp."

Adams also cited Thursday's arrest of a man in the Occupy Portland camp who allegedly made a Molotov Cocktail bomb and threw it at Portland's World Trade Center, igniting a small fire.
