Herman Cain unwittingly takes lie detector test and passes...
The Daily Mail ^ | 11/11/11 | Daily Mail Reporter

Herman Cain may not have to take a lie detector test because, as one investigator claims, he already did - and passed with flying colours. The sexual harassment scandal has shaken Cain’s campaign but has showed few signs of derailing it, as he spoke at Wednesday night's Republican debate to loud applause. In the face of the accusations, Cain said earlier this week that he was willing to take a lie detector test, but only 'if I have to.'

Enter TJ Ward, a private investigator who claims to have a fool-proof method of separating the honest from the liars.

His software, which he says is 95 per cent accurate, is used by 70 law enforcement agencies across America.

I wonder what his software says about his own accuracy claims.

If the guy would have said...

"According to my program, Cain is lying." is there any doubt that all the Cain supporters here would say...

"These programs are a bunch of baloney. You can't tell if someone is lying or not by their voice"?

He claims the program is "95% accurate". How could you possibly measure that?

“I wonder what his software says about his own accuracy claims.”

That he is telling the truth...this is not new technology...it has been around for a few years.

I think there are 70 law-enforement groups in my state.

Lie-detector tests are inadmissible for a reason.

I’d be concerned if this were about anything more than “He looked at me funny, Mommmmm!”

Problem is, the source material for Cain and the accuser is at the very least, second generation. I wouldn’t trust an analysis unless the person were present with the device. Even then, I’m still skeptical of the accuracy claim. How is it quantified?

these audio lie detector tests are way more accurate than most people understand and the technology is used covertly all the time, a lot of people don’t want it advertised that they have these tools and use them quite frequently.

Like when you go to apply for a job, the person there could be reading an analysis of your voice and they will go with what the machine says.

This isn’t CSI special effects, this is real. If they have an investigator with a device and its been analyzed then I believe it 100%.

I always loved watching the TV show, “Lie to Me.”

T.J. Ward is a leading national private investigator from Atlanta. He was probably contacted by Lin Wood.

Those who followed the Natalee Holloway case may remember that T.J. Ward was retained by Natalee's mother.

The software used is called Layered Voice Analysis. It is used by law enforcement around the world. Here's a link to a youtube video demonstration of LVA...LINK

Some of the “detector detractors” on this thread would have been equally skeptical of fingerprints and ballistics 100+ years ago.

Give the new technology a chance. It is not going to be used in a court of law-—at least in Herman’s case.

Here's a link to the home site for the company that created and sells the LVA software...voiceanalysistech.com.

Pretty interesting stuff.

Still a lot of people are unaware to what degree just their voice is saying about them, I have even heard of a program where an LEO can on the spot use a voice analysis say if you are pulled over and being questioned.

Or say you are in a loan office, that they can make a decision based on how you answer questions.

There isn’t much of a defense unless you are mute. Or you have a dedicated spokesperson.

I believe this is the technology the Israelis use when they question people at the airport.

I read that somwhere.

It’s really a meeter of chossing which machine to beleive: the lie detector or the left wing media machine. Seems like an easy choice to me.

LMAO!!!

I watched the very YouTube link you provided and they gave an example of how great this device works... the device determined that Gerry McCann, the father of disappeared child Madeleine McCann was LYING HIS ASS OFF!!!

Both McCann parents were EXONERATED of all wrongdoing!

per WIKI: The McCanns were cleared of any involvement in the disappearance, on 21 July, and their arguido status was lifted "due to lack of evidence that any crime was committed by the persons placed under formal investigation"

Too funny!

Madeleine disappeared 05-03-2007.

The Youtube video you referenced was posted 10-15-2007 using a tape of Gerry McCann pleading for the return of his daughter.

The McCanns were exonerated 7-28-2008.

That is not the point. The RINO-Dim coalition wanted a test. They got it. Now they should accept the results of the test. Its exact accuracy rate does not matter but the fact that it is a machine used by law enforcement does.

On top of all ya’ll’s observations.

Don’t you think Herman’s new attorney vetted him, i.e., gave him a polygraph before the news conference?

That is why Herman can agree to taking one(obviously within certain parameters) without having to worry about results.

He already has polygraph results that show he is being truthful.

Doesn’t that make sense now?

Cain has smart people around him and is playing the media like a fiddle whether it looks like it or not.

On a side note, I like Newt but Newt has 10 times the issues as Cain and they are documented.

You don’t go from Speaker of The House to hitting the bricks in 1 year if there are not significant issues.

Newt could be #2 and then in 8 years #1. just got to get his foot back in the door.
