Occupy Charleston protestors take over Bachmann's speech

"Mic check!! Mic check! This will only take a minute. We have a message for Mrs. Bachmann...." Michelle Bachmann, Presidential candidate, interrupted as Occupy Charleston took over her foreign policy speech.

The protestors read a speech of their own to the Minnesota congresswoman, calling her out because they believe she caters to the 1%. "As an elected official, her obligation should be to the electorate, not just to the few people writing checks," says Christopher Ingleice of the Occupy Charleston movement.

**SNIP**

After the speech, Bachmann addressed the interruption, finding irony in the fact that the protestors interrupted her speech on foreign policy, in a room full of veterans, the day before Veterans Day. "I really felt like it was ironic that you had a group of young people in a very disrespectful and ignorant move, to take that kind of an action in the midst of veterans that fought to give them the right to do that."

It maybe time for the Tea Party to form its own protection squad.

Shame on the officials of Charleston for only allowing the Marxists to have freedom of speech in their city.

Huh? Bachmann sounds like a befuddled elementary school principal.

We need a candidate who has two words for these anarchists - one verb and one pronoun.

> one verb and one pronoun.

Let me guess.

The verb is a procreative act.

The pronoun is second person (plural and singular are the same in English).

Kind of shows how closely the “Pollutipiers” cherish and adhere to the First Amendment concept of “Freedom of Speech”.
They seem to believe that it only refers to THEIR speech.
A historical figure once said, “Sir, I disagree with everything you say, but I must defend your right to say it.”
Guess that was then, not today!
Is this what the millions in tuition dollars teaches our young...seems so, doesn’t it?

I don't understand the comparison. Can you enlighten me?

I wish she held on to that podium with all her might, and screamed “Assault!” when the Fleabaggers touched her.

I wish she had said to the police—”I will not leave this stage—do your job and remove THEM!”

Or as Ronnie would have said “I PAID for this microphone!”.

Seriously, no more acquiescing to these FLeabagger thugs.

Once a speaker, who has been legally given permission to speak, starts speaking, any attempts to disrupt that speech should be suppressed by the police. That goes for all speakers of all political persuasions.

Having just left a job with a major corporation after 36 years, I can honestly say that all the diversity training and ethics training we were “subjected” to only taught me one thing. DIVERSITY IS A ONE WAY STREET! Their speech is ok, your’s is not. I apparently am going the wrong way! LOL!
I also kind of thought that the first amendment was laid out so that the people could assemble and bring forward issues with the government. Of course like all the original amendments, they have been violated beyond all comprehension at this point. Well, maybe not to all of us. It does appear that most OWSers have ZERO comprehension skill which is what the alinskyites desire.
HAPPY VETERANS DAY TO ALL WHO SERVED AND ARE SERVING TO PROTECT THIS ONCE GREAT NATION. Pray for the future.

Just why aren’t these anti-freedom morons being arrested? Aren’t the “authorities” supposed to support peace and order???

Agreed, thee is a big difference between a town hall meeting where all should have an equal voice and a speech.

Suppression of speech in a civil rights violation and should be viewed as any other civil rights violation and prosecuted either civilly or criminally. Ones First Amendment Rights ends when one is attempting to violate to rights of others. It a simple equation and one that should be learned and enforced by collage administrations and the FBI Civil Rights Division.

I only have one question...WTF were the rest of the people in the room doing sitting on their asses and allowing this to happen? Shepple...

Exactly. I hope someone pointed out to the marxist idiots that Bachmann consistently votes against bailouts and the crony capitalism the marxists claim to oppose.

This takes me back when Code Pinkers interrupted John McCains speech at the 2008 GOP convention. That was small potatoes compared with what we are seeing now and what we will see. I fear for the safety of all our candidates [even the ones I don't support]
