Posted on 11/12/2011 7:47:24 AM PST by Gopher Broke
Three years after Wall Street and the big banks wrecked our economy, 25 million people are still unable to find full-time work and the gap between the 1 percent and the 99 percent continues to grow.
But Representative Eric Cantor and his allies in Congress are not just ignoring the concerns of the 99% -- they are making them worse.
Join us this Thursday, November 17 at noon in Richmond, at the foot of the Hamilton Street Bridge, as we will declare an Economic Emergency for the 99%.
November 17 at noon, the other 99 percent will gather nationwide to encourage Congress to get serious about jobs and the economy. The Hamilton Street (Downtown Expressway195) bridge in Richmond is used by 85,749 residents each day and is a vivid example of the many roads, schools and other infrastructure sites in need of repair. The American Jobs Act would provide $809,000,000 in infrastructure funding for Virginia and 10,5000 infrastructure jobs, yet Rep. Cantor continues to obstruct the bill.
Engineers have identified the Hamilton Street bridgeand 1,267 other bridges in Virginiaas having a "major defect in its support structure or its deck. But we know the biggest defect is in Congress where they are pushing more job-killing cuts, instead of creating jobs.
Stand with unemployed workers, community members and your friends and family to tell Rep. Cantor, This bridge needs work, and so do we! Click here to RSVP.

holy crap these people are stupid~!!!
And it ONLY implements a 10 times as much in permanent tax increase~!!
They are clearly pushing Obama’s bridge failing and “jobs” bill B.S.
No one can ever convince me that this whole OWS movement wasn’t orchestrated by the WH and Obama’s political operatives.
