Staffers furious after 1,000 fired from Corzine's bankrupt firm MF Global
NEW YORK POST ^ | November 12, 2011 | KAJA WHITEHOUSE, ANTONIO ANTENUCCI

Screw you, Jon Corzine.

All 1,066 employees of the bankrupt trading house MF Global got the boot yesterday in a pre-holiday massacre that left workers without severance and benefits -- and they blamed only one man for their woes.

...

If Corzine were around, DiMatteo told Bloomberg News, “I would punch him in the face.”

...

Bankruptcy trustee James Giddens is still trying to find about $600 million in missing customer money. Forensic probers are trying to account for the brokerage firm’s assets, and federal agencies are investigating whether MF mixed company funds with money missing from customer accounts.

“It ended like this because of one man,” said Anthony DiMatteo, who worked for MF for 16 years. Corzine is “selfish, greedy,” he said.

But, how could that be? Corzine is a liberal Democrat. I thought only conservative Republicans were selfish and greedy.

I got good news for these guys who have been fired: Obama cares and feels their pain.

Now they can go pay their taxes. :)

I figure that I’m good for 5 to 10 years if laid off, given what I have in the bank (and in my prepper storage, and in my skills to take care of myself). I suspect these nerds are homeless in 3 months.

“Do you always take joy at other peoples pain?”

Yea, because I understand this bunch and CANNOT STAND THEM. They feel it necessary to strut their stuff - and as a conservative, I simply have a problem with that.

The beat goes on in the legacy of failure from the American Left. Corzine was my former Governor and a big Obama buttboy,(of course). Former GoldmanSachs biggie, which everyone should know by now, is Obama’s public, not-so-private banker. One watches people like Corzine get elected, and one wonders “WHO elected him, and WHY?????”
These folks are nothing more than the guardians of the Liberal Status Quo, and their ascenscion as policy makers in Politics is about nothing more than protecting the bastions of Crony Capitalism, and all the connections therein.Poor Corzine, multimillionaire abject failure as Governor, nearly demolished in a car accident because he had no seatbelt on, and how has his entire bogus company wanting to punch him in the face. Liberalism at its finest.
The same fate is due Obama, who will unfortunately/fortunately only receive the bad news deferred in the upcoming elections.

Many of them are probably experienced stockbrokers who will get another job without much difficulty. If you can sell to customers, you can usually find some sort of position.

Jon Corzine, stereotypical DemoRat filth, thanks the Useful Idiots for their sacrifice.

They will, of course, continue to vote DemoRat, and get what they deserve.

"Corzine could not be reached for comment."

I wonder if he's decided to take an extended holiday in Brazil?

Looks like the only green jobs this liberal democrat created were the ones investigating where he “misplaced” the green.

Will Corzine get the Ken Lay treatment from the media?

Something tells me he won't...

If he does, and feels a bit guilty about it — that's schadenfreude.

If he does, and doesn't feel the least bit guilty about it — that's gloating.

Either way, the feeling is good for a hit of oxytocin.

(Just jumping on one of my little hobbyhorses. We borrowed Schadenfreude from the Germans, because no English word quite covered the concept. It's a great word, which is in danger of being ruined by overuse. If there's no tinge of guilt, “gloat” is the right word. At least that's how I would have it, if I were a lexicographer.)

If any of the laid-off voted for a DIMocRAT or a LIB, I get a laugh out of their predicament. Maybe they should reconsider their world view as it ultimately is self-destructive.

No guilt on my part. Those clowns that worked for Cortisone knew EXACTLY who he was. If they chose to “live the life” thinking that his scam wouldn’t implode, they deserve exactly what happened to them. No different than the people that worked on those FAKE trading floors at Enron...they knew it was phony. Same with the Arthur Andersen scam artists.

I work a much more stable job (I think), but I still treat it like it can go away next week. So I keep a bunch of dough handy and make it a point to live WELL BELOW my income level. As I get older, I may change that somewhat, but I will NEVER be anywhere near one paycheck away from going broke, as these brats appear to have been living.

That one man is a JERK and a bigger JERK. If they chose to invest their future with him, they DESERVE EXACTLY what they got. I do agree that there are people that get screwed by “the man”, probably every day - but we’re talking about an IMBa IMBECILE here, not a typical corporate boss. So no, they deserve EXACTLY what they got. They had plenty of other options short of getting in bed with Corzine.
