Republicans are hypocrites about sex, it is sometimes said, and Democrats are hypocrites about money. It is true that GOP politicians keep getting caught with their pants down, while limousine liberals are free with other people's money and misers with their own. But this is not the whole story. Republicans are hypocrites about both sex and money.

The two parties are of one mind when it comes to fleecing us and and make sure we enjoy it... for our own good!
There ain’t a dime’s worth of difference between them in their disregard for the American people.
Ain’t that the truth.
Well then why not be a goldstatenobody?
The popular election of senators has curbed some good-ole-boy crony abuses and invited others, one of which is porkbarreling.
Still, the author does not even bother to quantify the abuses. The GOP are amateurs, pikers, when it comes to things that DemocRats are professionals at.
Stealing is stealing no matter who does it. Its hard to appeal to conservative virtue when Republicans do it when no one is looking. Big Government is corrupting and it not only corrupts the Left.
If you are going to look for sinless men you are going to have to look beyond this world.
Of course the GOP should police itself (as should the Rats, hah). But how simon pure does an earthly movement have to be in order to be effective? Everybody can call everybody else a hypocrite and it only paralyzes the process.
Most “worldly” common sense would tell you it’s better to steal less than more. You look for low-crime cities to be in, knowing that no-crime cities are either lying about it or in some other perfected world.
So how do you appeal? In large part, by pointing out brute overall facts. Any two cent moron can cherry pick and holler hypocrite all the day long.
Sounds like some sort of growth, and what has Republican and Rat hypocrisy got to do with Conservatives?
Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely!
Democrats get caught with their pants down too, but its not considered a scandal when they do it.
If you like the fact they have the same vision for us, then its more than hypocrisy. All that’s going to be different is the speed at which we’ll get to hell.
Does this surprise you?
Democrats are the natural party of government. People expect those things to come with the territory. Republicans are supposed to be different and that’s why people get upset when they don’t live up to their ideal to get government out of our lives.
And so the false equality is drawn. Note I say drawn, not actually made to exist.
Compare Republican anything with Democrat anything over a significant period of time. Even if we are talking about squishy Republicans. Don’t we wish we only had the Bush spending to worry about?
As I explained to my sis, the social worker, when our guys get caught with their hands in the cookie jar or in somebody else's pants, they resign...or they get fired.
When her guys get caught, they get re-elected...
Putting a piece of data in perspective is hardly “liking” it.
Certainly people with Christian views should seek to improve the affairs of men who call themselves Christian, so that less scandal might be brought upon the kingdom of Christ. But they shouldn’t throw up their hands in hopelessness when, as inevitable on this fallen terra firma, the best efforts result in well less than perfections.
>>>What is a barton hinkle?<<<
Nom de plume of Fartin Tinkle.
If they actually shrunk government, you’d be right. I’m not expecting that to happen as long as I’m alive.
This is why Herman Cain has taken his accusations as serious as a heart attack, and has the doctor on call. All accusations will be put to a serious test. If an unimpeachable witness against him shows up, almost all the GOP will be clamoring for Cain to step down, and he will.
Bill Clinton’s bimbo problem approaching office in 1992? (Not talking about Lewinsky much later in his lame duck term.) That was a little matter of managing news coverage to manipulate public opinion.
Driving Rats out of the government is a potent way to slow, if not stop, the growth. Bush did do a lot of cutting of agency scope, but it scarcely got heard about. Did you think he was going to trumpet what Rats would call EPA nods to poisoning our children? (And the GOP would call taking all facts into proportion.)
Democrat rapists get lifetime job protection
Leftwingtard fanatics imagine that if they screech "hypocrite" long enough and hard enough they can get Republicans to turn into Democrats.
They are so stupid.
If it comes out of your pocket it’s in the wrong place.
IF they can find a witness who actually saw an incident happen, yes, Cain will be forced to step down. As long as its a she said/he said story, you can believe whomever you want.
As for Clinton, objective evidence didn’t matter. The Left defended him to the hilt.
Republicans profess to standards, Democrats have none. That’s why the media come down harder on the former. Its not fair but its life.
And Rats also know that if they can demagogue Republicans into a circular firing squad, they’ll usually oblige.
That’s what I was telling you. The different commitment to standards shows. Perfection you will never see in an earthly GOP. (I’m a poet and don’t know it. I rhyme every time.) But compile lists of what actually has occurred, both good and bad, and you see that pot shots from the Rat side towards the GOP side, and circular GOP firing squads, are scarcely wise.
Its easier to make the case for freebies than its to make the case for small government.
Politicians have never lost an election promising folks something for nothing.
Indeed a wise opponent of a politician making such a promise will teach the people that “something for nothing” is illusory at its conclusion. Get taxed enough for free lunches and you begin to wallow in poverty.
Work hard and elect your guys to Congress and once in Congress they aren’t your guys any more.
Who was that ancient wag who said Congress was the opposite of progress?
Anyhow. unless we can revolt and produce a whole new country that proceeds on a more even footing, we have to be satisfied with the lot of Sisyphus, if we would not fall in a tailspin.

Interesting that the article intimates that the Tea Party is OK with these pork barrel projects, but none of the politicians mentioned in the story are considered ‘tea party’ Republicans.
From the article:
The Tea Party's proletariat is not pleased. "It's pretty disturbing," Judson Phillips, co-founder of Tea Party Nation, tells Newsweek.
BTW, who are the tea party Republicans?
More to the point: All too frequently politicians, regardless of political philosophy, have one major goal once they get elected - getting re-elected. Pork is the best way to achieve this goal.
