“But we've been a little bit lazy, I think, over the last couple of decades.
My city of ames Iowa isn't lazy. Their idea of economic development is to hire a $100,000 person to explain all the rules and regulation to new business. If we just explain the regulations well enough, we will attract business.

On the one hand you invite businesses to come, perhaps with some short term incentive, and on the other hand load them up with impossible requirements and regulations making it cost prohibitive. Is he as ignorant as it appears??

Interesting word (”lazy”) coming from a man who’s never had a real job in his entire life.
"In Africa, you often see that the difference between a village where everybody eats and a village where people starve is government. One has a functioning government, and the other does not.
Which is why it bothers me when I hear people say that government is the enemy. They don't understand its fundamental role."~Barack Obama

Obama said it's important to remember that the U.S. is still the largest receiver of foreign investment in the world and things like stability, openness and innovative free market culture are attractive.Something I'm sure that you'll 'rectify' should you be elected to a second-term, Your Highness! /sarc

(You can safely ignore anything that precedes the word "But"...)
