Rasmussen Daily Presidential Tracking Poll (WTH? Hussein rising?)
Rasmussen Reports ^ | 14 November 2011 | Scott Rasmussen

Posted on 11/14/2011 6:56:26 AM PST by ScottinVA

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Monday shows that 23% of the nation's voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as president. Thirty-eight percent (38%) Strongly Disapprove, giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -15 (see trends).

That’s the president’s best Approval Index rating in three months. Still, most voters continue to favor repeal of his primary legislative accomplishment, the health care law.

The Presidential Approval Index is calculated by subtracting the number who Strongly Disapprove from the number who Strongly Approve. It is updated daily at 9:30 a.m. Eastern (sign up for free daily e-mail update). Updates are also available on Twitter and Facebook

Overall, 50% of voters say they at least somewhat approve of the president's job performance. That’s the first time since June that the president has reached the 50% mark. Forty-nine percent (49%) at least somewhat disapprove.

"I’m officially making my prediction right now that OBAMA IS TOAST IN 2012 AND WILL LOSE HIS RE-ELECTION BID IN A LANDSLIDE. That’s right... MARK IT DOWN AND BOOK IT"

I'm in complete agreement -- electoral history is shouting in our faces -- and thinking about making a ping list accordingly.

Because if you and I and so many Freepers I'm seeing that are expressing the same opinion, and the nominee is Mittens, conservatives need to extract an enforceable contract of demands out of this douchebag. Like right now.

Because I want Mittens on the hook. I want him on the hook for his 2, possibly 3 Supreme noms; I want him on the hook to repudiate Obamacare and sign any bill that dismantles it; I want him on the hook to understand he may not be a conservative personally but he better sure as hell rule like one.

Nothing would be worse than Mittens inheriting a landslide win from a President nobody wants. If Mittens thinks he has a mandate to rule like a RINO, we are more screwed than we are right now, because this coming landslide will take back the Senate as well.

We definitely CAN beat Obama, that’s not a question.

The question is, will we? I put the odds at about 50/50, a bit better than some here, but not good enough.

Here’s what the GOP needs to do to win:

1. Regardless of who ends up the nominee (please not Romney, but, even if it’s him)...stop the infighting now and at the time of the nomination. Vetting is one thing, completely trashing is another.

2. Repeat it after me: So-lynnnnnnn-draaaaaaa. Over and over again. And throw Fast and Furious in there. The public largely doesn’t know what it is, but those who do know aren’t happy about it. It’s our job to make sure the rest of the population learns about these scandals. We have to destroy the notion that Obama’s administration is “scandal free.”

3. Continue pushing back against vote fraud.

He rebounded, but could just as easily tank again, I have to keep reminding myself of that.

Agree! We’d learn as much by walking outside, licking a finger, and holding it up to the wind.

When you consider that a couple months ago, “Generic Republican” was BEATING Obama by a couple, that’s bad news.

However...here’s what I say...let Obama “peak” now. i.e., too early.

We definitely CAN beat Obama, that’s not a question.

Here's my take and I welcome corrections if any of my perceptions are wrong.

We're entering what is going to a be a long-remembered Blue Christmas season. Even here in Texas, vacant stores dot shopping malls. Retailers and families are struggling. All across America, Black Friday shows signs of being anemic at best. Combine that with a cold winter plus soaring heating bills due to DemonRAT anti-domestic energy policies and the Christmas season promises to be memorably bleak indeed.

A very depressing Christmas 2011 will still be top-of-mind by the time decisions are made in fall 2012. This is Obama's economy. He owns it. It will be his undoing.

Okay, but were you saying to ignore Rasmusessen when he was showing Obama at -24, and his strongly disapprove numbers were equal to his Total Approve number?

Seems that nobody is getting the ugly truth here: with obama, the number of gov employees has quadrupled. They will all vote democrat not to lose their job.

width obama, the number of people on welfare and food stamps has quadrupled. These people will always vote democrat to make sure they don't lose their free money doing nothing.

Now you add up all these people and you have a majority for life.

That was exactly obama's plan - he did it - nobody stopped him - and now we have a majority of democrat voters for life. Get used to it.

“The polls on OWS seem to agree with your sentiments. That stated, the kids and other idiots occupying the camps will almost assuredly overplay their hands. Whether this affects Obama or not will remain to be seen, given the media will surely cover for him.”

The thing I’ve noticed about the OWS movement is that while the campers are certainly fringe, the idea has taken a hold with average Americans.
I don’t know if it favors any particular politician though as almost everybody in my own small orbit doesn’t seem to care for either party, the president, or anybody in congress.

Just reviewing this thread, I can't help but notice the 'woe-is-US' crew pimping Obama are almost all Blue Sstaters. Not saying you all are trolls, just saying you all got Zero perspective because you're surrounded by the enemy. They will mislead you...

No post-WWII president in the modern era has ever been re-elected with unemployment at 9%. Or 8%. Or 7.5%.

7.7% beat Ford. 7.5% (helped) beat Carter. 7.4% beat Bush I.

There is Zero chance Bobo can get unemployment under 8% by Election Day. Even if he did manage 8.1% or 8.2%, the largest entrenched unemployment/underemployment in the modern era is going to knock him out.

I wouldn’t sweat it too much. Perhaps Rasmussen polled in an Obama stronghold like California or Illinois.

Just a fluke. Oboma hasn't done anything right yet.

Rasmussen probably just got a few who where grossly uninformed this time. No poll is perfect, especially when the only way to poll is by land line. The number of respondents is severely limited to a few.

All the brain dead who voted for him and want a free ride are killing America. Obama must be flushed!

Yup. Have we reached that tipping point where there are more "takers" than "makers" in America? If so, get used to 4 more years of Obama and The Decline of America... {{shudder}}

What might ultimately hurt the OWS’ers (and has started to, I think) are the behaviors of the protestors.

Possibly... but remember, Obama doesn't have that bar to cross. He only has to appear to be trying.

Right, but it's a different era now. If the dems frame all this around the narrative, "Imagine how difficult things would be if Obama didn't win in 2008" -- which is quite possible, those numbers won't matter. We're not dealing with a particularly well-informed, well-reasoned electorate.

“People forget the group that elected Obama was not the young as they always support the commie it was the old who thought they needed a change. You will not find very many old people supporting this sad excuse of President in fact they feel awful for voting for him in the first date.”

Which is why boomers split evenly between Obama and McCain? Yeah, it’s all young people’s fault that Obama was elected. Myth. Busted.

Consumer confidence is up for the third straight month and is higher than when he took office, and even with June, which these numbers reflect. The bar is low for him, and the media is on his side, as well as demographics, unfortunately.
