Gingrich Leads in PPP Poll, Followed by Cain
The Corner ^ | 11/14/2011 | Katrina Trinko

Results from new poll of GOP primary voters from Democratic firm Public Policy Polling: Newt Gingrich (28 percent), Herman Cain (25 percent), Mitt Romney (18 percent), Rick Perry (6 percent), Michele Bachmann and Ron Paul (5 percent), Jon Huntsman (3 percent), Rick Santorum and Gary Johnson (1 percent).

One particularly interesting note from PPP: “There’s reason to think that if Cain continues to fade, Gingrich will continue to gain. Among Cain’s supporters 73 percent have a favorable opinion of Gingrich to only 21 percent with a negative one.”

If he really were ahead we’d be seeing him do better in state polls. None of them, save MS show Gingrich ahead of Cain. Even if we flip all the states that went to Bush to Gingrich, there’s just not enough ECs out there.

Prior, we were seeing Cain finish second behind Perry in Perry states, and second behind Romney in Romney states. We don’t see this with Gingrich.

Cain’s my guy, but if Newt wins, that’s OK by me.

As long as RuPaul, Myth Romney, Ricardo Perry, and Jon Huntsman (who ever that is) don’t win, I’m happy.

State polls seem to be a lagging indicator. Perry still looked good in state polls for a few weeks after the national polls showed him crashing.

Why are you reposting this same material again that you just posted two hours ago on another thread?

“Ron Paul (5 percent).....”

Heh, heh, heh......

Well, isn’t that remarkable ? 95% of the Republican party is refusing to support Reichsfuhrer Paul.

Heh, heh, heh......

We shall see. The only state he’s led is the state that he had before, with Cain at 0 and him at 25. He now leads by two in MS. I guess all the Perry voters are still refusing to back Cain, which is disappointing to see.

They're getting pretty despirate if they're pushing CNN polls as "proof" to promote their fantasy.

Well, it’s what the establishment wants.

BTW, Newt has never beaten Romney. Anywhere.

Name the state, name the poll, He’s never done it despite running for president all year.

It is noted. What’s the line from Dr Zhivago when the commie community “organizer” gets a bit of sarcasm out of the Doc? Something like: “Your attitude is noted. Yes, you are noted.”

An original xzins paraphrase.

In time of crisis you want Winston Churchill....warts and all.

America in Crisis. Time for a crisis manager.

Newt Gingrich.

"newt and friends then spent it into democrap control."

A demonstrably false statement since Newts' house gained seats in an off year election and that had not happened in over 60 years. Care to try again?

Newt wins the nomination and you can kiss the republic good bye. Obama will probably beat Newt.

“If he really were ahead we’d be seeing him do better in state polls”

The bad news is that PPP was the first outfit to pick up on the Cain surge a few weeks ago.

The good news is that Newt has even less money and organization than Cain. His rise may be short lived.

Cain declining in the polls was easily predictable and in fact I predicted it :). Cain benefited from the baseless attack on him by the MSM, many conservative like me rallied to his defense. Now that those attacks are largely over Cain support will fall at least a little as folks migrate back to their favorite candidate. Nothing more then that going on here.

What Rush failed to note is that at this stage the media is not so much establishing their choice for us, they are working to divide the conservatives in any way they can.
