Gingrich Leads in PPP Poll, Followed by Cain
The Corner ^ | 11/14/2011 | Katrina Trinko

Posted on 11/14/2011 10:00:39 AM PST by TBBT

Results from new poll of GOP primary voters from Democratic firm Public Policy Polling: Newt Gingrich (28 percent), Herman Cain (25 percent), Mitt Romney (18 percent), Rick Perry (6 percent), Michele Bachmann and Ron Paul (5 percent), Jon Huntsman (3 percent), Rick Santorum and Gary Johnson (1 percent).

One particularly interesting note from PPP: “There’s reason to think that if Cain continues to fade, Gingrich will continue to gain. Among Cain’s supporters 73 percent have a favorable opinion of Gingrich to only 21 percent with a negative one.”

For his slapdown of Pelley along, Gingrich deserves at least one week at the top of the polls.

A newt reply, let's see we have about twenty different ways that we can address this posting issue, first we need to reword and rephrase the statement, excuse me while I go chase the hired help. The following Newt re addresses the post saying we have twenty five different ways we can address and rephrase this issue and it relationship to world events and out lying effects. Day three, Newt says we have thirty different ways we can review and move beyond this problem. The long of it is newt is really big on the lip service and ideals, but damn short of action. Except for hugging nancy, and the dream act.

Yeah, winning back the House to Republican control after 40 years was such a big nothing, really.

Newt will start getting front-runner scrutiny....and that will be good. Newt is my first choice out of this bunch, but we need to see if he and his campaign can handle intense scrutiny and a re-litigation of his personal and political life. If he can emerge from that gauntlet, then he could be a formidable opponent for Obama.

Polls are rediculous at this point. This poll pretty much contradicts the CNN poll, so they can’t both be right. And there are other competing polls.

So the only real question is, now that there are two polls showing Cain dropping, will the Cain supporters at least stop using these rediculous polls to argue that other candidates should drop out and support the “front-runner”? Because if that is the criteria, I guess Cain should drop out and throw his support to Gingrich.....

I suspect by mid-December both Gingrich (zippers) and Cain (loss of females) will be out of the running. Romney will be back on top with Perry not far behind.

This ol’ boy likes them all but Huntsman and Paul, and will make up his mind before walking in the voting booth.
