FULL TITLE: "Jerry Sandusky's daughter-in-law gets restraining order to keep Penn State 'paedophile' away from grandchildren"

Jerry Sandusky's former daughter-in-law has obtained a legal order barring the ex-Penn State coach from seeing three of his grandchildren.

Jill Jones, who was once married to Matt Sandusky, went to court to stop the accused paedophile from having access to their two daughters, aged nine and seven, and one son, aged five, according to documents.

A Grand Jury indictment alleges Sandusky, 67, sexually abused eight boys, some as young as seven, over a 15-year period. He denies the allegations.

After hearing the horrific charges on November 5, Ms Jones urged her ex-husband to keep the children away from their grandfather, The Daily reported.

Later that day Sandusky's wife Dorothy sent Ms Jones a text message informing her that Matt had taken the children to her State College, Pennsylvania home, but that Sandusky was not present.

Mrs Sandusky also phoned Ms Jones to try to persuade her that the children would be safe around her husband, the documents said, according to The Daily.

Ms Jones was unwavering, though, and successfully obtained a restraining order forbidding the children from sleeping over at their grandparents' home and banning Sandusky from seeing them unsupervised.

So? The wife has been looking the other way OR clueless for many, many years. If she is supervising then they are in deep, deep trouble.

You have a point there. Have a feeling the wife would just watch him rape the grandchildren just like the grad student watched him rape some unknown kid.

Hopefully, a court appointed guardian supervises the visits.

"Have a feeling the wife would just watch him rape the grandchildren ..."

That seems a little over the top to me. There is no indication whatsoever that Sandusky's wife has ever watched him rape a child, and to go ahead and extrapolate that out to her own grandchildren is quite some imagination.

The ex-DIL is wise to keep her children away from Sandusky the elder, though. He has been cut-off from his 'regulars', so he will be looking to have sex with anything young. Perverts like that don't change.

Good for Ms. Jones. I hope that she doesn’t trust the word of her ex-MIL. She’s already proven that she was in the family home when rapes were occurring in the basement.

Sandusky is not supposed to be with any children, not even his grandchildren....

at least there is one smart mother out there...

if nothing else, being anywhere around Sandusky is a physical risk to the kids from cinder blocks being thrown thru the window,..

If he had molested my children...I might violate my Christian pledge not to kill.

“.. there is no indication whatsoever that Sandusky’s wife has ever watched him rape a child...”

Someone doesn’t have to hold a child down to be raped in order to assist the rapist. Mrs. Sandusky was present in the family home when foster children and some boys from the Second Mile Foundation were raped in the basement. No one is going to tell me that a woman, whose own husband referred to her as “Sarge” of the home, didn’t notice body fluids on the sheets. I can’t believe any real Mom wouldn’t notice something in the children’s eyes the next morning. I am afraid that if you knew a foster son was being brutalized.. nothing prevents her five year old grandson from such brutality. In a case like this... I would personally side on the safety of the children. The risk is just too darn high IMHO.

Everybody’s so smart and righteous, ganging up on the guy now, when his activities had been known for years (decades?)

Did you see that the judge who let him go free was a volunteer at his charity? I think his case should be moved out of the area so that he gets a “FAIR” trial. Too many coverups already in this case.

If he was my former father-in-law and I had young children I would do the same thing...

This man is despicable.

The grand jury report describes how Sandusky frequently brought kids from Second Mile to his house for “sleepovers,” where he would rape them. He also brought children along with him on overnight trips to sporting events.

Sandusky’s wife was in the house when the rapes occurred. She also accompanied Sandusky on the trips to sporting events.

Draw your own conclusions.

There’s nothing in Christianity about not killing. Not murdering on the other hand...

And Jesus did say something about millstones and the sea in cases like this...

Sandusky could have slipped his wife a ‘sedative’ those nights he wanted to make a trip to the basement. He could have done the same to the kids as well.

Not to be sarcastic but was she on a sedative when she washed the sheets? She was the one who called the one victim and asked him to call her (after he was removed by Social Services from the home). She knew the allegations then.

Mrs. Sandusky is likely somewhat right. Two of the Jones' children are about the right age but are girls and there is no indication that Sandusky molested children of the opposite sex. However the third is a five-year old boy and who knows what the lower age limit for his molesting boys is.
