As we all know, the SEIU, et al, represent a big piece of the Fifth Column in this country. I am very surprised that Cain supports these Marxist extortionists if that is the reality here. His past business ties probably play a big role in this...(?)

I’m a Cain supporter, but this is seriously disturbing. This could be enough to make me switch my support to Newt, although I’m not that comfortable with Newt either.

That may be true, but Townhall folks aren’t running for President. I don’t really care if they get it right or not. I am very concerned that the candidates on “our side” get it right however. And the right answer, as even FDR and George Meany would admit, is that public sector workers SHOULD NOT have the right to unionize.

Roosevelt made a deal. You cited FDR as being against organization within public employee groups.
It's not that you lied about it ~ it's that times changed and real live Communists became a very real threat. The FBI couldn't get them out of the government agencies. Neither could the War Department or the Navy Department.
Non Communist federal employee union leaders came forward and did the job with fists, guns, harassment, intimidation, abuse ~ it was a regular war ~ and you want to turn your back on the deal?

I find your analysis insane and your connection of dots fanciful at best and absurd at worst.
FDR was philosophically against public sector unions for the same reason any sane person would be - that it puts the public servants in a position of negotiating AGAINST the tax payer which is simply an unsustainable and ludicrous position.
The idea that getting rid of public sector unions would strengthen communist influence on our government is one of the most ridiculous positions I’ve ever seen on FR.
You had probably best straighten out your thinking here. Joe McCarthy was not wrong.
