no idea. there was an argument a little while ago that Cain might’ve been winning more straw polls than Paul. Not any more. It’s indicative of whatever it is that it’s indicative of. It says that Ron Paul wins these straw polls. I have no idea if other campaigns or grassroots care about these straw polls to try to win them. I know that Ron Paul likes to win them. So they win a lot of them. But not all of them. Sometimes the campaign cares and we usually win those. But Bachmann did win Ames. So, you know.

It’s relevant to some degree. Isn’t the Presidential Election one of the things that should be discussed? Straw Polls are an important part of the process. They’re worth discussing. Non stop talking about whether or not Cain is being smeared or if the whores are actually telling the truth isn’t the only thing happening in politics. Whether or not Newts wife might be getting sick and the chances of him dumping her if she doesn’t get well soon is worth talking about, but real things that real voters, real people do are also worth talking about.

Some of these “straw polls” are worth paying attention to. But when you have polls that sample less than the size of 4 Chicago precincts (370 voters= X 4) they’re valueless. As the saying goes the only polls that count are the resulting votes comming from American Poles.

In fact the results of some of these primaries are even questionable. Here we have tiny states like New Hampshire with small populations and set political views deciding who the candikdate is going to before the rest of the country gets a chance to pick their candidate. As far as I am concerned the Iowa Caucuses are a joke. (BTW the word caucus is an Algonquin word that made it into the American lexicon.)

The way I understand it. Voters have to show up a their polling place at a given time and go through a procedure which can take up to an hour or even more to decide on a winner as voters switch sides until a given pluality is reached and the winner gets declared. What would be fun to see is if they voted only once and no clear winner declared for that preccinct.. I could just see the resulting Headline... IOWA CAUCUS WINNER UNDECIDED ...That would screw things up very nicely
