Was this sober political analysis, or merely an MSMer pining for the good old days of Speaker Pelosi?
On Morning Joe today, touting a Politico Pelosi puff piece about her "golden touch," Mike Allen claimed it was "very possible" that Democrats would retake the House majority in 2012.

Politico’s Mike Allen claims it’s “very possible” Pelosi and Dems will regain House majority in 2012.
It is also “very possible” that my pet goldfish will attend Harvard next semester. Is this allen creature using crack?
We must never underestimate the Stupid Party.
How are his SAT scores?
POLITICO makes no secret about their pro-Democrat positions. They were the initial drivers on the hit pieces on Cain,,their headlines are always slanted to read “Repub bad/Dem Good” and they use sleazy reporting techniques with an abundance of “anonymous” sources. It’s really more like The National Enquirer with a political agenda.
I’m betting Mika had an ‘organism’ when he said this and Joe just nodded his head like an elder statesman.
I’m so glad you watch this show and keep us posted on the stupidity that invariably pops up.
I DVR it but very, very seldom have the stomach to actually view it.
Mucho thanks GLGB.
I’m convinced that are enough stupid people, parasites and illegal aliens in this country who would vote for Obama.
We can’t let our guard down. A second term would be the end of America as we know it.
“It is also very possible that my pet goldfish will attend Harvard next semester.”
This could quite possibly increase the amount of original thought that goes on in that institution.
Actually this could happen. The dems know we aren’t happy about our 2012 Prez choices.
We get stuck with Romney and people will become apathetic and stay home. It could happen.
The down ballot pubbies could lose.
2010 was a great win, but we didn’t win the Senate. The dems are using the gridlock to pound pubbies with. They also have the MSM to give them a huge lift.
If we had taken the Senate in 2010, we could lob the lack of cooperation on Obama only because he would have had to veto everything.
About the picture, from his perspective he’s tilting to the right.
I think it is dreaming. Hussein is not popular, even though there has been a bit of a jump in his poll numbers. He and the Demonrats “own the economy”.
The Politico has an agenda, and it does not give the Republicans a large part in any endeavor.
“...’very possible’ Pelosi and Dems will regain House majority in 2012”
Which means, like the defeat of the Nazi war machine in WWII, destroying the sources of supply to that machine, destroying the means by which the machine could deliver its mayhem to the world, and destroying the morale of its leaders and supporters.
We know the rules of engagement. The question is, will we use them to our advantage, or let the other side treat us as patsies?
Politico is proving to be the MSNBC of media organizations.
If the Republicans nominate a loser, then, yes, it is very possible that the DemonRATS will take the House again.
The electorate put Mr. Obama in office in spite of his involvement with Bill Ayers, Reverend Wright, associations with Communists, wealth re-distribution rhetoric, his desire for a “national security force” that’s just as
well-funded as the military, his “hope and change” campaign where hope and change was never defined.
It seems awfully true that the very same electorate, which was swayed by the press then, will be swayed once again by that very same press.
It might very well be, once again, that adolescent psychotics will be voting for adolescent psychotics and pushing them over the top to power.
I am not among the downtrodden...I recognize the reality that we must be devoted to defeating Hussein. The worst RINO would not be as bad as the commie.
Very possible Mike Allen will get the mental help he needs.
What has Boner done to keep the speakership?
Its the Senate going GOP, Mike.
The GOP won all those State houses and that killed redistricting.
POLITICO/Romney for Obama in 2011
Mitt Romney Sends Leftover Pizza to Obama Chicago HQ
After spending the day in Chicago fundraising, Mitt Romney
sat down with small business owners at Gino's East,
a pizza joint famous for their deep-dish pizza.
In fact, Romney himself tweeted a photo of a
delivery boy heading out with the loot, writing,
"Great deep dish at @ginoseast.
Sending the extra slices to @barackobama and his Chicago HQ team."
Even if the lib lefties sustain a crushing blow they will not go away! Unless the next President can appoint at least two ultraconsevatie SCOTUS and the check and balances made untamperable.
Otherwise, they will weasel their way back in and continue their mission to put the last nail in the coffin that is our Constitutional Republic!
Hopefully not but I havent seen House Republicans do much good with their majority, except a couple of investigations.
Otherwise getting control just allowed Obama to make ‘the Republican congress’ the bad guy, something that couldnt work for him last year. Now he has all the magic fixes that will fix everything, he just didnt have didnt think of them last year yet.
Republicans better :
A) start fighting back
B) convince voters Obama controls congress, much like Pelosi did with Bush in 2007 and 2008.
“On Morning Joe today” well that answers the question of whether it was pure BS or not. Next thread for me.
They also have the MSM to give them a huge lift.
But! But! But! Some elite few here at FR say the MSM is on a deathwatch!!!
Agree. Look at the recent election in Ohio; the good citizens were given a once in a lifetime opportunity to free themselves from the iron grip of their unions and what do they do? They revoke the very law that gave them control of their government back. Never mind that they're clueless on how they are now going to get their costs under control. To quote the great philosopher Forrest Gump, “stupid is as stupid does”. Go figure...
This is the goal of the ‘congress sucks’ movement going on in the media and among friends on social media. Notice, no one was posting ‘congress sucks’ posts on Facebook 18 months ago.
If there does become ‘a throw the bums out’ movement, it will be our people losing seats exclusively, because the Dems pretty much bottomed out last year and mostly only maintained their safe blue seats.
Our side needs to combat this with friends to keep blame where it needs to be...the DC ruling class..not freshman lawmakers.
“It is also very possible that my pet goldfish will attend Harvard next semester. Is this allen creature using crack?”
Is your goldfish a Muslim financed by George Soros?
Thanx. I posted it here: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-bloggers/2451468/posts?q=1&;page=201
The first term has been the end of America as we knew it.
It’s time that Freepers, Conservatives, Republicans, Independents, etc. refrain visting the Politico web site!!! Politico, MSNBC, CNBC, NBC, CBS, CNN & ABC are just add-ons delivering the everyday message of the Obama White House and the Democrat National Committee. They are naught but state organs for the collective tyranny and state control that Obama & his illk of total socialists dream about. Americans, you are losing your freedoms with each day that passes and are like sheep being led to the slaughter of your freedom and independence!!!
So what’s she going to campaign on?
Most ethical congress evah? Flubbed that up in 2006
Most transparent congress ? Fail!
1. It's not quite possibel to score the 2012 House races yeat, because several states have yet to finish redistricting. Preliminary analysis indicates that dem gerrymandering, primarily in California and Illinois, may yeild the Dems 10+ seats. This is more than offset by the increases in electoral votes that red states received after the 2010 census. Two key states, Florida (+2 seats) and Texas (+4 seats) are still in the mix, but should yield 4-5 new GOP seats. Several blue dog Dems are in serious trouble, so it's probably more likely that the GOP majority in the House will INCREASE.
2. As many here have pointed out, it's not the fact of a GOP House that's important, it's what they actually DO with their majority. I think that the 2012 GOP Hoiuse caucus will be considrably MORE conservative than the current one, and able to exert greater pressure on the leadership. We shall see.
I was about to say that. Never underestimate the capability of the Stupid Party to jerk abject Defeat from the Jaws of Victory!
That man is smoking some good s***.
Oh, I wouldn’t bet against your goldfish—given what the Ivy League is graduating these days.
