You mean you THINK Hawaii isn't part of Asia yet. If I remember correctly, the last time Obama visited Hawaii before an election, his dear, sweet Toots bit the dust. Perhaps this time it's Hawaii that is sacrificed at the electoral alter.

Actually, this does not surprise me at all. I give Obama and other a pass on obvious mispeaks (like “57 states”) but I think this is truly Freudian.
Hawaii is very much a blue state with large minority populations that are Hawaiian and Asian. Obama is a leftist with an international orientation - “Imagine no countries”. He was raised in Asia. He probably doesn’t think of Hawaii as American at all, or if it is, it probably shouldn’t be.

Well, it is true that Hawaii is chock full of Asians and he was looking out into a sea of Asian faces as he said this, but it was a stupid statement and telling of his ambitions of himself as a GLOBAL president.
