STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (AP) -- The former Penn State assistant football coach at the heart of a massive child sex-abuse scandal said he showered with young boys and hugged them but called the allegedly criminal contact "horseplay."
Jerry Sandusky told NBC News' "Rock Center" on Monday night that he was not a pedophile but, in retrospect, should not have showered with the boys he's charged with sexually assaulting.

Funny, this term “horsing around” was used by virtually everyone making excuses for him up and down the chain of command.
It’s an old, odd term that apparently is being used to obscure pedophilia in this case.

n a shockingly harebrained legal “strategy,” the Pennsylvania lawyer representing accused child molester Jerry Sandusky, the former Penn State football coach, allowed his client to go on national TV last night and cop to showering with young boys.
Attorney Joseph Amendola sat mute by Bob Costas’s elbow yesterday as the NBC sportscaster asked Sandusky, over the phone, about his shower room escapades with young boys. Amendola allowed his client to admit that he “horsed around with kids,” engaged in towel snapping, and “touched their legs.”
He did all this, Sandusky assured Costas, “without intent of sexual content.”
Amendola, 63, allowed his client to be questioned about a 1998 incident in which a woman confronted him about inappropriate contact Sandusky allegedly had with her son during a shower. In a conversation overheard by police, Sandusky reportedly said that his genitals may have touched the woman’s son. “What I did say,” Sandusky told Costas in reference to the boy, “was that if he felt that way then I was wrong.”
The lawyer also sat by as Sandusky took a circuitous route—lasting nearly 20 seconds—to a denial that he was a pedophile.
Disgusting excuse for a human is the nicest thing I can say.

Taking a page out of the Michael Jackson playbook, well it worked for him, so why not?
“Did I molest them? If you count holding them down and ticking them within an inch of their lives, yeah, I molested them.” That one disgraced congrassman from new york.
I’ve seen chatter elsewhere implying that many of the boys he attacked are black. Anyone have info on that? It’s important because one developing narrative is that the crimes were overlooked because of the victims’ race.
And, FWIW, the entire staff from JoePa down knew what was going on and their football was more important than the innocent victims along the way.
I'd like to know if JoePa would have let one of his grandkids spend the night at Uncle Jerry's!
